Coca-Cola's new Christmas commercial was made entirely with AI. The commercial was a recreation of their iconic "Holidays are Coming" ad, and has since sparked controversy online. Where do you stand on AI-generated creative content?👇 💭

So Coke have dropped their AI generated holiday ad and the LinkedIn takes are hot.. in an “open can of Coke sitting in a car on a hot day” hot… Andrew Tindall of effectiveness platform System1 reports this as Coke’s highest scoring Christmas ad in years” with “real people.” No quantative data yet from “LinkedIn people” but qualatively it seems that it’s probably the worst thing in the history of ever. Which is fine, though it seems pretty obvious that a lot of the hand-wringing is of the “AI is a creative nonstarter” variety, some of it from people who probably think AI “can’t do hands” because the last time they looked, it couldn’t. I have not counted the polar bear toes in this ad, but I suspect they’re all there, and the average viewer isn’t counting anyway…. Is AI the real thing? No more or less than CGI. Is it, like the tagline of the ad itself, real magic? It certainly makes me feel like a kid again. #ai #cocacola #advertising #creativity
