👏🏽👏🏽Excited to have presented my research on Brachytherapy Radiation Safety at the INMM ‘s 65th Annual Meeting! It was an incredible opportunity to share my work with experts from around the world and receive valuable feedback. Brachytherapy is an invasive radiotherapy procedure that has applicators directed to a particular region of interest to deliver the radiation dose ☢️. It is always key to adhere to the principle of ALARA - As Low As Reasonable Achieved by taking account of the proportion of Dose, Time and Distance. It was of great comcern when I embarked on this research project as surrounding organs of the female anatomy in the treatment of CEVICAL CANCER maybe ill exposed to radiation. As the effects of radiation expose are irreversible it promted to me the need for REAL TIME RADIATION DETECTION on the surrounding anatomy for advanced radiation safety !! ✨l’m looking forward to further developing and growing in this area of research.

My presentation, titled "Empowering Nuclear Security: The Integral Role of Diversity and Inclusion in Nuclear Security and Physical Protection," was part of Concurrent Session 1 - Advancing Women in Nuclear Security, chaired by Julia Arapoff .

Inspired and energized at this year's INMM annual meeting in Portland, Oregon: 'Meeting the Moment'. Honored to moderate a plenary panel with DDG-SG and 3 DIRs, on strengthening the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards system, in memory of Rich Hooper, architect of the Additional Protocol. And presented a #PNNL paper on Transportable #Nuclear Power Plants with my friend, Irmgard Niemeyer. These meetings bring us together to solve today's challenges and prepare for a very dynamic future.

I am proud of my participation today in the 65th Annual Meeting of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management INMM , Portland, Oregon. During the session on #innovative #learning tools, I presented virtually my research titled "Introduction of Problem-Based Learning, Team-Based Learning, Role Play, and Virtual Simulation in the Training of Nuclear Safeguard Inspectors and Security Officers." In my presentation, I discussed the implementation of new learning strategies tailored for safeguard and nuclear security training. I am eager to apply these innovative methods to enhance learning and training programs and take them to higher level.
