Netflix will launch its in-house ad tech stack in the US in April 2025, according to VP EMEA Advertising, Damien Bernet. It allows advertisers to control their ad buys directly within the Netflix platform rather than through a third-party service. “We need our own adtech platform to be able to innovate and be flexible enough to create new solutions for our advertisers,” Bernet said, adding that the company is “building this for the very long term”. #OTT #CTV

Recent data suggests that Samsung Electronics’s long reign as the world’s biggest selling TV brand is under greater threat than it has been for years. This sudden threat is no longer coming from its traditional South Korean rival, LG Electronics. Instead its sales lead is being eaten into by two Chinese brands: Hisense Group and TCL. #CTV #OTT #streaming

https://lnkd.in/gK7bEuKQ Today in 1976, Network (the film) was released. A film about Media - THE FILM about Media - is ageless...and it's climax is an Oscar Nominated 5 minute speech (shortest screentime for a nomination) by the actor Ned Beatty explaining what drives the media ecosystem - and the world economy: "The world is a business, Mr. Beale." It's been almost 50 years and our entertainers are more valuable than ever.
