New York Knicks & HOOPBUS x Regular Hoops 🏀 The New York Knicks sponsored the “Crosstown Express” HOOPBUS for the NBA Playoffs. With a locker room replica inside and an eye-catching mural outside, this Knick-themed bus traveled across all five boroughs & New Jersey organizing (1) pre-game events, (2) school visits, and (3) community days. The bus was active for all 26 Knicks playoff days and... 🏀 Hosted 34 events  👶 Reached 20,000+ kids 🍱 Delivered 500 meals (thanks to DoorDash) ---------- Regular Hoops 🏀 assisted on 16 of the events with content capture and video production. The brand worked with former Knicks legends like Walt Frazier, John Starks, Amare Stoudemire, Allan Houston, Latrell Sprewell, Marcus Camby, and Tim Thomas. It also filmed with creators like @meals_by_cug (4M followers), @Ant1iPromo (1.2M followers), and @thehoopbus (1M followers). My favorite moments include... 🎤 Calling out random Philly fans to play 1v1 😤 Shutting down 8th Avenue after Game 7 loss 🌹 Surprising Bed-Stuy moms with Mother’s Day roses ---------- Videos I filmed and/or helped produce generated 15+ MILLION VIEWS. I’ve shared some of the videos on the Regular Hoops 🏀 LinkedIn page, but you can watch them all on Instagram (@regularhoops and @thehoopbus). Thank you Tobias DiMarco, Giovanni Ascuntar, Jeremy Kaplan, and Nick Ansom for including Regular Hoops on this month-long bus ride... This nonprofit really is a vehicle for change 🚌

    Empowering Buckets at Hoopbus

We Here New York! For the second year in a row, HOOPBUS and the New York Knicks teamed up to bring an incredible project to the five boroughs. The Crosstown Express is a series brought to the streets of New York with the best intentions, to transfer the fervor in the city around a Knicks Playoff run into programs and events that build community. The Crosstown Express was active for 26 days, and hosted 34 total events. Our incredible team of New York Ambassadors hosted PE takeovers at local schools, community feed-the-block days at housing authorities, skills clinics and open runs across the city, and put on show-stopping performances at Madison Square Garden before home games. In the end over 30 activators and volunteers helped to put on 110 hours of Hoopbus youth programs which served more than 20,000 kids, with an estimated 2,500 receiving direct player to coach mentorship. Additionally, Hoopbus delivered more than 500 meals to the community with the help of DoorDash. Immense shoutouts to lead producers Jeremy Kaplan and Giovanni Ascuntar for putting together all the pieces in this incredible project, to Alex Goldenberg and team for believing in the mission, Daniel Aboul-Hassan for always being ready to lend a hand, DA Bus Driver and Pops for their leadership, Mast for the epic Knicks Mural on the side of the bus, the team at Chem Creative who pulled an all nighter installing a masterpiece custom Knicks Locker room buildout inside the bus, and countless legends, volunteers and activators who helped drive the impact on the ground. The personal highlight for me was my introductory trip to the legendary courts of West 4th, where a 5-3 1v1 L to the legend George the Messiah was redeemed by getting in my Nick Ansom directorial bag to help create this unforgettable moment. https://lnkd.in/gCz6AmRQ Bing Bong!

Director I Coach I Strategic Thinker

Fitness is my passion but Buckets Over Bullying is my mission.    Earlier this week the BOB crew was spreading love and hoopin in Los Angeles from South Central to Venice Beach. Thank you to our partner HOOPBUS for organizing and providing the ultimate in transportation, a mobile basketball court! Your talent awes me, and your compassion inspires me.      Shout out to Simon Tech High School(Watts) and Mark Twain Middle School(Venice), I was so impressed with the student “Upstanders” I witnessed take the pledge not to use their device as a weapon and help kids in need who are being bullied. “Be a buddy…don’t be a bully!”    #hoopbus #bucketsoverbullying #californialove #socialmediasafety

  • Last week Hoopbus joined the legendary Big 12 Conference in Kansas City to amplify the excitement for the Womens and Mens College Championship Tournaments! Hoopbus had the task of furthering our journey to a billion buckets by calling on our A Team to energize the Fan Fest outside of T-Mobile. Throughout the tournament, we brought out streetball legends like Hannah Mortimer, Ant1Promo and the top youth prospects in the KC circuit to play and interact with fans. Together with the Big 12, our team hosted PE Takeover assemblies at Linden West and Phillis Wheatley Elementary Schools to work with students. Through the power of play, our team coached and preached the powers of self-love, gratitude, teamwork and the power to dream. Let it be known that Giovanni Ascuntar has the breakdance station from now on. Amidst all the action, we watched with the rest of the hoops world as Big 12 Player of the Year Madison Booker lead the Longhorns to the Women's Championship, and saw the Cyclones bring a championship home to Iowa State University. Many thanks to our friends Tyrel Kirkham and the Big 12 Team for the faith, and to Gabe Hilt and Tobias DiMarco for pushing forward this special project. A huge thank you to all the fans that came out to the tournament and participated with us in Kansas City. So where should the bus pull up next? 🚌 🏀

NBA All-Star Weekend x Regular Hoops 🏀 Grateful that Regular Hoops 🏀 co-led social media & content production with Giovanni Ascuntar (He Got Next ) for the HOOPBUS “Show INDY Love” Tour (Feb 12-19). For the first time, HOOPBUS brought TWO buses to NBA All-Star Weekend—enabling the non-profit to double its impact. Here’s how we showed INDY love ⬇️ ---------- ⛪️ Renovated the Woodruff Place Baptist Church aka “The Church” This 160-year-old church is a community staple in Indianapolis. It offers after-school activities, a basketball court, and a "Ministry of Love" food pantry for the local kids. HOOPBUS, Veniceball, Local Hoops, and Electrolit USA transformed The Church by resurfacing its basketball court, adding iridescent backboards, and remodeling the second floor. We hosted programming at The Church all week, including youth basketball clinics with NBA players Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Yogi Ferrell. 🎨 Built the “Dreams Court" at Northwest Middle School In collaboration with True Religion and Aku (by ex-MLB player Micah Johnson), we constructed a colorful court and placed world flags across the gym—encouraging kids to “build worlds around dreams.” At this school, we gifted hundreds of PUMA Group shoes during a youth clinic, organized a 3x3 “Battle of the Brands” tournament, and hosted a dunk contest. Our dunk contest judges included WNBA player Jackie Young and BACK-TO-BACK NBA Slam Dunk Champion Mac McClung. 🏀 Engaged fans at the NBA Crossover The National Basketball Association (NBA) invited HOOPBUS to activate at the NBA Crossover, a massive event at the Indianapolis Convention Center. One of the two buses was stationed here all week. With HOOPBUS talent, entertaining emcees, and some hay stacks, our booth at the NBA Crossover was a fan favorite. Even celebrities like Jadakiss & Dylan Wang stopped by to get a bucket on the bus. 👨🌾 Visited schools, gyms... barns... and a race track? HOOPBUS drove all around the state spreading love through basketball. We completed a “Tour de Barns” in French Lick (Larry Bird’s hometown), Gentryville, & more. We also hooped at Assembly Hall (Indiana University’s basketball arena), the legendary Hoosier Gym, and on the Indy 500 (Indianapolis Motor Speedway). But the most impact was felt during school visits. We hosted five assemblies that inspired thousands of Indianapolis kids. ---------- Thank you to our partners who believed in the “Show INDY Love” Tour. It would not have been possible without the National Basketball Association (NBA), PUMA Group, Porsche Cars North America, Champs Sports, Electrolit USA, Red Bull, True Religion, The City League, and many more. A special thank you to Nick Ansom for inspiring the team and to Tobias DiMarco, Gabe Hilt, and Dan Moroni for producing & executing an unforgettable experience for the people of Indianapolis… How do you show INDY love? ❤️ Read more ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/g6aGbC6K

    Empowering Buckets at Hoopbus

Filled with gratitude and appreciation for the incredible team that helped to produce one of HOOPBUS most ambitious and impactful initiatives ever. Show Indy Love took place from Feb 12 - Feb 18th, coinciding with NBA All Star Weekend. The Show Love series, created by Nick Ansom and Veniceball, is an annual dedication to the all stars behind the scenes who truly drive positivity in a city through basketball. Celebrating the 5th iteration of Show Love in style, an incredible team from all over the world came together to renovate courts and host purpose driven programming with a goal of leaving INDY a little better than when it welcomed us in. Some of the highlights included... > Renovating "The Church" at Woodruff Place Baptist Church, a 129 year old church servicing East Side Indianapolis that offers weekly basketball, a youth band, taekwondo and and a "Ministry of Love" food pantry. > Building "The Dreams Court" and the Dreams Mural, a project with Aku by Micah Johnson. Together we renovated the court at Indianapolis Public Schools' Northwest High, with the court design and flags of the world celebrating the school's diversity and encouraging kids that no dreams are too great to achieve. More than 20 student volunteers contributed. > Hosting programs which brought Indy youth face to face with WNBA and NBA superstars including Mac McClung, Jackie Young, Jaime Jaquez Jr, and Kelsey Mitchell who attended and participated in dunk contests, skills clinics and school assemblies. > Cruising the Hoopbus onto the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the middle of a snow storm - special thanks to Paul Yoffe - #GameNeverStops > Hoopbus East serving as (arguably) the NBA's most engaging activation at NBA's Crossover Convention which featured lines that wrapped around corners of other booths filled with eager fans looking to earn their bus pass to enter the Indy themed Hoopbus, complete with hay bales and historic relics from the Dust Bowl. > Hoopbus North covering more than 16 events, school visits, and pop ups across the state of Indiana in 6 days including the Tour De Barnes, visiting one of a kind historic barn courts and unforgettable gyms, complete with a photoshoot from the great Gary Land Photography > Hosting the Show Indy Love Shutdown event at Northwest High including a skills clinic that laced up 100 kids, a dunk contest, and the 5th annual 3x3 Battle of the Brands tournament. With help from The City League, the gym was packed out with the best from across the state - congratulations to team Squadz for coming away with the chip. Special thanks to Nick for creating and leading the vision and the incredible team including Gabe Hilt, Dan Moroni, Chantelle Anderson, Elvin Rodriguez, Daniel Aboul-Hassan, Giovanni Ascuntar, Adam Toth, Austin Taylor and so many others! #Hoopbus #nbaallstar2024
