This weekend, we reached a historic milestone by gifting our 400th home to US Army Specialist Joshua Sager and his family in Argyle, Texas. In partnership with Hillwood, Hillwood Communities, and Highland Homes, we celebrated Specialist Sager’s resilience and service with a heartwarming community event. Each mortgage-free home represents a new beginning for a hero and their family. Every year, in partnership with Hillwood Communities and the national nonprofit, Building Homes for Heroes, Inc., we build a home for a wounded veteran and their family. This year, we have the honor of building a home for the Sager family. Before the home completion, we hold a Notes of Love event where individuals from each organization are invited to sign the studs of the homes with notes of love, encouragement, and well wishes.   This initiative is just one of many ways the Highland team gives back and invests in the communities we’re proud to be a part of.
