What a fantastic way to wrap up the year! I'm pleased to announce that I've joined the 2025 DC Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors! A new year means new challenges ahead, and last week's DCCC Annual Meeting and Chairman's Inaugural Breakfast was just the motivation I needed to put some of those regional challenges into perspective. Sometimes progress can feel slow, but as a wise man once said: 𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵, 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦. 𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘳, 𝘨𝘰 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. A moment of reflection, gratitude, and gusto. ✨ With Thanksgiving two weeks behind us and Christmas two weeks ahead, I'm reminded of how fast time flies when we manage to stay busy. I can't believe 2024 is nearly over! This year marks the 15th anniversary of High Impact Partners (HIP) and I couldn't be happier with all that we've accomplished in that time. The past several months in particular have been really special, thanks to the increased focus on our growth strategy and some key additions to our team, including Ms. Kiisha Jennings — who not only helps keep HIP on point, but who can also point and shoot her camera quite well. 😊 A few weeks ago we had the privilege of attending the WBEC Greater DMV Grand GALA-xy Luncheon celebrating 25 amazing years — a fabulous reminder of the collective power (and beauty) of the amazing businesswomen in our region and beyond. Did you know November is National Adoption Month? It’s also Youth Homelessness, Outreach, Prevention, and Education (HOPE) Month. https://lnkd.in/gqmhvaVz , https://www.acf.hhs.gov/ On November 19, 2024, HIP attended the Administration for Children & Families (ACF) Business Collaboration Summit. The ACF is a division of the US Department of Health and Human Services. The summit introduced the efforts and dedication the HHS and ACF are championing for communities across the U.S. Their initiatives include the Child and Family Safety and Well-being which focuses on prevention support services to keep families together and out of the child welfare system. This includes expanding support for kinship caregivers and promoting community-based child abuse prevention. The presenters focused on Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) services that are needed to advance the ACF's mission, and it also made us aware of the two national awareness campaigns mentioned above that they promote. HIP looks forward to partnership opportunities that support ACF’s initiatives. We bring a wealth of technical assistance experience to the table, like customized technical assistance, specializing in understanding objectives, program goals, and performance outcomes. HIP provides experienced program coaches and customized training development and delivery, offering both onsite and off-site coaching and training services. HIP helps in developing and managing communities of practice to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. HIP conducts site visits to provide hands-on support and guidance and offers webinars, virtual training, and written resources to support their clients. HIP's extensive experience in these areas ensures that they can effectively support ACF's initiatives by providing the necessary technical assistance and expertise..
