Greater Omaha Chamber President & CEO, Heath Mello released the following statement on MAPA Being Awarded a $2 Million Grant to Implement Transformative Regional Investment Prioritization System (TRIPS): “The Greater Omaha Chamber would like to extend our congratulations to Metropolitan Area Planning Agency and NDOT for this project – we know that landing federal grants is a highly competitive process and one of this magnitude takes a great amount of collaboration, determination, and skill. The funding in the TRIPS Grant will provide MAPA and NDOT the resources to embrace a new data-driven project selection process, meant to increase efficiency and transparency. This groundbreaking initiative represents a significant step forward in shaping the future of our region’s transportation network, aligning projects with long-term community needs and regional priorities." “As a vital component of Greater Omaha’s economic development efforts, TRIPS will ensure transportation infrastructure supports the region’s continued growth and success. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this program will have on both our transportation system and the quality of life for residents across the Greater Omaha area.”

We were excited to be part of the City of Omaha’s Doing Business with the City event as a vendor—our final event for the Greater Omaha Chamber’s REACH program this year. The event provided valuable insights into contracting opportunities, the City’s SEB and Section 3 programs, and other initiatives designed to support small and emerging businesses in the construction industry. We’re thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with the City of Omaha and look forward to future events and workshops that help empower and connect local businesses.

ICYMI – Heath Mello had a great discussion with Tony Bock of OMAPOD about Omaha's exciting transformation. From a modern urban core with towering skyscrapers to a revitalized riverfront and the innovative streetcar system, Omaha is evolving into a city that surprises even those who grew up here. Heath shared insights on game-changing projects like the $500M riverfront redevelopment, and how Omaha's future is capturing national attention. With collaboration from business, civic, and philanthropic leaders, Omaha’s growth trajectory is stronger than ever, and we’re excited to keep sharing this incredible story. #OmahaFuture #UrbanCore #CommunityGrowth Listen to the full podcast here: https://bit.ly/4faLtLx
