After a few sunny days in Portugal, I’ve finally had some time to reflect on our largest GMAC Europe Conference to date, making this one for the record books! I am always happy for the chance to connect with friends- new and old- and to hear about their work and the challenges that they are facing. As I provided closing remarks for the conference, I saw a sea of faces looking back at me with optimism, fresh ideas, and reinvigorated appreciation for the work that we all do to change the lives of students, and positively impact the industry and the world around us. (There were also many smiles because of the last bit of wisdom from the closing keynote:-) There were a lot of hands in the creation of this memorable event, so I need to give credit where it's due. Thank you to our location hosts, Nova School of Business and Economics and Pedro Oliveira (Dean), for welcoming us to your breathtaking campus and providing a perfect environment for GME professionals to connect and learn. Thank you to our opening and closing keynote presenters, Nadim Habib, and Micael Dahlen (Chief Happiness Officer)! Your sessions helped to set the tone for the conference and our direction when we returned to our offices. You gave us new perspectives on leading through change and our agency in creating happiness in our personal and professional lives. TACK! Thank you to an amazing advisory group and all of the speakers, facilitators, panelists and presenters who crafted incredibly engaging sessions that help address the unique challenges and opportunities for GME in Europe. Thank you to our conference sponsors and exhibitors—your commitment to providing the industry with the necessary resources and tools to succeed provided a perfect opportunity for connection and reflection. And last but certainly not least, a profound thank you to all of the remarkable attendees, which included professionals from 56 business schools in 23 different countries. This conference would not have been the roaring success it was without your motivation, your enthusiasm (the birthday song in the Fort will be a lasting memory), and your willingness to learn, grow, and connect with like-minded colleagues. To the 81 first time attendees- you've made a new connection for life! I can't wait to see everyone again in 2025! #GMAC2024 #HigherEducation #GMACEurope

While visiting our member schools ESMT Berlin, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Germany last month, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Kirstin von Elm from Handelsblatt to discuss the state of graduate management education in Germany, along with the value of standardized tests like the GMAT. This was an excellent opportunity to speak to the great work of member schools and showcase the Graduate Management Admission Council™ (GMAC™)'s latest research and industry advancements on a global scale. https://lnkd.in/eQrqgCh7 #GMAC #GME #HigherEducation #MBA #Business
