  • At First Tech, we truly believe in the power of a strong community coming together. ICYMI: Last month, we had the pleasure of sponsoring the TASTE for Equity Gala, a fantastic event that celebrates Oregon’s amazing food and beverage scene while raising money for local nonprofits. Food was prepared by 10 talented BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ chefs and winemakers, which really showcased the diversity in our community. This year’s Gala supported some of our favorite nonprofit partners: Adelante Mujeres, APANO Communities United Fund (CUF), and ELSO Inc., making the event especially meaningful for us. We are grateful for the positive impact generated by this inspiring community event.

Our support for this project reflects our commitment to fostering creativity and community engagement. We invite you to come and experience this artwork in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon for yourself. • Throughout November, First Tech employees celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Lights, at our Rocklin, San Jose, and Hillsboro corporate locations. Our teams enjoyed delicious food, dances, and fun activities. It was wonderful to see many of our executives join in the festivities at Hillsboro! While Diwali has been a tradition at our San Jose office, it was new to Rocklin and Hillsboro. Mitali Chavan, who helped plan the Hillsboro event, shared that it allowed the planning committee to “think outside the box about how to introduce a new culture and festival to everyone, including the diverse foods India offers and activities they would enjoy.” Rutvi Patel, another planning committee member, appreciated “the beauty of sharing our cultural heritage with the wider team.” We look forward to expanding this event and many other cultural celebrations next year!
