Today, we had the privilege of visiting Milwood Magnet School to engage with 8th-grade students during their library time. Kevin Lavender, Jr. MBA, GCDF, proudly representing Kalamazoo Valley Community College, also introduced students to the possibilities of dual enrollment and early middle college opportunities. A heartfelt thank you to Library Assistant Tania for welcoming us and for your dedication to fostering a love of knowledge and literacy. The students at Milwood Magnet are fortunate to have someone like you investing in their growth. We can’t wait for the next opportunity to read and connect with these amazing students! #FatherhoodNetwork #Literacy #Community

Thank you Kalamazoo Public Library for inviting us out to the Opening Celebration for the temporary location for the Alma Powell Library! It's always nice to connect with the community but to gather in celebration of the importance of literacy in our community is even better 👍. Looking forward to utilizing this library in the new year!

Thank you Urban Alliance , Pastor Harris, and Change of Status for inviting us into your space to facilitate this conversation on Men’s Health and Self Care. It’s a good time every time we come through but this one felt especially therapeutic. #fatherhoodnetwork #menshealth #DadCafe

When we come together we can accomplish just about anything! Reflecting on the Barbershop Event this past week and I can only say that it was amazing! Huge should out to Vashti Harrison Illustration for coming to Kalamazoo to encourage literacy and congratulations from the Fatherhood Network on your award winning book! Thankful for the partnership with Kalamazoo Public Library , Kalamazoo County Great Start Collaborative , Kalamazoo County Talking is Teaching , College Cutz, Ty's Joint, and the Edison Neighborhood Association for pulling together to make this event happen! Tons of books were given out, dozens of children got a fresh haircut, and Ty's Joint provided great food! Also thank you to Urban Alliance for stopping by to share some apple cider 👍🏾. Last but not least Precision Productions maintains an excellent record for capturing great moments. Thank you Josh for taking these pictures!

Good morning good people! I woke up with a thankful heart! Yesterday we were able to celebrate babies at the 3rd Annual Celebrate Babies event at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market with KALAMAZOO COUNTY HEALTH & COMMUNITY SVCS and rounded out the day with a fantastic group conversation about coparenting and communication with Dr. London-Johnson at the Dad Cafe. Thank you to the The Douglass Community Association for allowing us to use your space and thank you to everyone that came out to join the conversation. I hope that you are able to see the good in the work that you do, and that you too feel thankful for being able to do what you do. #fatherhoodnetwork #thankful

Talking is Teaching and the Kalamazoo County Great Start Collaborative have been longstanding supporters of the Fatherhood Network and we appreciate their continued partnership. Just picked up a few more books to distribute to program participants and the community. #literacy #literacymatters #community #fatherhoodnetwork

We appreciate the partnerships that we have with organizations in the community of Kalamazoo! Yesterday we had the opportunity to partner with the Urban Alliance Inc., Change of Status program for a in-depth conversation around “What does it means to be a man”. These brothers were engaged and the conversation was rich! Thank you to Ty's Joint for opening the restaurant for this conversation and for the amazing food! #manhood #fatherhood #healthyrelationships #fatherhoodnetwork
