Today’s board member highlight is Nanette Heide, a founding member of Exponent Women who has been instrumental in fostering connections among women across private equity. This fall, Nanette joined Troutman Pepper as a Partner, where she is leading the firm’s private equity growth in New York. As one of the driving forces behind Exponent Women, Nanette shares: “At the time we founded Exponent Women, there was a large void of organizations that focused only on women in private equity for the purpose of networking. We saw the need to create a networking platform where women could come together in a trusted environment for the purpose of exchanging ideas, information, and introductions to move the needle on all of our careers and business. Over the past six-plus years, we have developed an expansive trusted organization for exchanging business among women in the private equity industry.” Nanette’s leadership and dedication have been pivotal in building this trusted and impactful community!

We’re excited to have Cortney Stapleton kickoff our Exponent Women Board Member Highlights! Cortney is the CEO and owner of The Bliss Group, a marketing communications firm specializing in data-driven strategies for clients in technology, healthcare, and finance. With a background in issues management, she helps brands identify their core purpose and create impactful marketing programs. Cortney launched Bliss Impact, a division focused on purpose-driven solutions for non-profits and companies, and co-founded Exponent Women, a networking organization for senior women in private equity and M&A. Cortney also serves on several boards, including Empowered Network, which supports survivors of human trafficking. She has been named to PR News' Top Women in PR list and holds an MS in international relations from New York University, and a BA in political science from St. Michael's College School. We are incredibly proud to have Cortney on the Exponent Women board and grateful for all she has done to help shape and grow our community.
