Congratulations to Ryan Jeffery, Soham Dalal, P.E. and all our friends at gener8tor! It was announced this week that gener8tor has secured $13.4 million from NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration to launch the Great Lakes Innovation Accelerator. Based in Chicago, the program will support 60+ water technology startups over the next four years, each receiving $100k in non-dilutive funding. With the Great Lakes Observing System, Michigan Tech's Great Lakes Research Center, Cleveland Water Alliance, Northwestern's Farley Center, Northwestern Michigan College, University of Illinois System, and dozens of venture funds, corporations, and universities, the Midwest is building a powerful ecosystem for water innovation. Startups will gain access to world-class testing facilities and industry connections that strengthen both our economy and environment across the Great Lakes region. 📢 The latest Voucher Recipients have confirmed their partnerships with Voucher Providers—worth over $20M! Congratulations to the organizations that have been matched through DOE’s Voucher Program! The U.S. DOE Office of Technology Transitions, in collaboration with the Offices of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED), Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management | U.S. Department of Energy, and Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), previously announced that over 170 companies, tribes, and local governments will receive support to advance commercialization of clean energy technologies in the form of in-kind DOE-funded vouchers. The #VoucherProgram is designed to grant small businesses, local governments, and other non-traditional partners access to the vetted resources and expertise they need to bring their clean energy technologies and projects to the next level. In this recent round, the program offered 7 different Vouchers support across many capabilities ranging from testing facility access to trusted third-party subject matter expertise.
