We’ve grown! November brought exciting changes to Esper—one we’ve been eagerly anticipating. Our manufacturing facility just expanded by 3230 sq ft (300 sq m), giving us room to produce more, add new equipment, and grow our team. This is just the beginning—every step forward means we’re closer to making an even bigger impact together!

  • This is Gennadii, a Senior sergeant and a unit commander in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, standing in front of enemy equipment he used to destroy. Even after being wounded and losing his arm, he continues to serve and fight for our independence. His unwavering spirit is a testament to the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people. On this Independence Day, we honor heroes like Gennadii who remind us of the true cost of freedom. Glory to Ukraine!

We were able to acquire this and other highly accurate machines and tools thanks to the support of the USAID CEP. What’s more, we’ve hired excellent specialists for manufacturing and assembly of bionic hands, and have reinforced our R&D department with a new CNC machine operator. New equipment like lathe, flat grinding machine, and other metrology tools will help us measure and manufacture the details for Esper products with greater precision. We are grateful to the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine (USAID CEP) for enhancing our capabilities and look forward to a continued strong partnership!

  • 🇺🇸🗓️ Today Americans observe National Disability Independence Day for the 34th time. We learned many methods to make the world more inclusive and equitable: from building better infrastructure and improving digital accessibility to advocating for affordable healthcare and advancing wearable tech 🦾 Equally important is recognizing the value of diverse perspectives from disabled people. Many of them had to adapt with resilience and creativity to build their daily independence. As a society, we will benefit from endorsing those voices and learning from people with disabilities. Let’s focus on listening to them, wherever we are!

We are thrilled to announce the receiving of $5M investment to develop the first bionic ecosystem in the world. The round was led by YZR Capital, and co-financed by EBRD, and u.ventures. The funds will fuel the company’s RnD, scale production, and upgrade the Bionic Ecosystem. There are 50 million amputees and 140 million paralyzed individuals in the world, with many struggling to find functional, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing prosthetic solutions. Thus, the investment will increase our capability to provide better options for people around the globe to enhance their abilities. • For soldiers, losing an upper limb in combat means not only physical limitation. The amputation effectively ends their career. But dozens of Ukrainian veterans who received Esper Hand realized they were no longer forced to end their military or medical service. We thank Ryan Bergeron (producer, CNN) for lending a voice to their experience. He talked to a war hero with bilateral hand amputations, who is recovering with our partner organization Protez Foundation, and together with the CNN crew visited our NY HQ to see first-hand how #EsperHand differs from other prostheses. From using pattern recognition to transform users’ life experiences to the sense of hope that comes with technology, Ryan’s takeaways from the conversations with Dima Gazda (CEO, Esper Bionics ) and Yakov Gradinar (Chief Medical Officer, Protez Foundation) are in the article below: https://lnkd.in/dK6STbU3 #healthech #bionics #prosthetics #veteran #rehabilitation
