𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹. The real question is whether it will be too small in five years. Markets evolve, and identifying where they’re heading is often more important than where they stand today. One of the best illustrations of this is from the book 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘈𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘦 by Rich Cohen, which chronicles the extraordinary life of America’s "Banana King." At a time when ripe bananas were considered waste—literally thrown overboard by the thousands—he saw opportunity. Starting small, he sold bananas town by town, straight from a train car, before the fruit went bad. His story is wild: • He took on one of the largest corporations of his era. • Ultimately seized control of that company. • Overthrew a government. • Helped fund a major American university. • And even worked with pirates. It’s hard to believe it’s nonfiction, but that’s what makes it such a compelling business read. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻? 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Had an insightful conversation with Benji Markoff on the messy paths every entrepreneur faces on the road to success. We dove into why embracing the chaos is key to finding what works, especially when starting a business. Success rarely follows a neat path; it’s often a mix of wrong turns, course corrections, and bold, sometimes risky, moves.

I enjoyed this talk with Benji Markoff for several reasons. He tackled something that every entrepreneur can relate to—the trap of “business purgatory,” where we spend so much time-consuming content about starting a business that we lose sight of actually starting it. This is a must-watch for anyone who wants to avoid getting stuck in the endless loop of “research” and instead drive their business forward.

I enjoyed this interview with Vadim Rogovskiy for a couple of reasons. One, we delved into the fascinating world of dream control, and two, we explored its potential as a business venture.
