  • Did you know, only 22.3% of e-waste was recycled in 2022, according to the UN Global E-waste Monitor? This is concerning because manually dismantling electronics poses serious health risks to workers and generates significant waste that pollutes communities. That’s why we’re excited to share that our portfolio company, Molg, has secured a $5M DOE grant to address this pressing issue with their groundbreaking microfactory technology. Why does this matter? This grant will help Molg improve the affordability and efficiency of battery recycling to secure its supply chain for sustainable electronics products, while prioritizing worker safety. Even better, they’re collaborating with Virginia Commonwealth University and Rewriting the Code to drive workforce development and new career opportunities. Innovative solutions, safer practices, and new job opportunities—a win for everyone!
