Culturally Appropriate Technology for Caregiving Teams!
About us
EIS was inspired by the personal experiences of three college students with their grandparents. Effective and culturally appropriate communication is crucial for healthcare outcomes, and EIS technology not only facilitates this but also goes beyond. Our caregiver digital platform, designed to empower the 4.5 million direct care workers in the US, improves shift communication, ensures accountability, and reduces employee burnout.

DEI isn’t just the name of a department in an organization. It’s the day to day interactions amongst the employees and the leadership teams. It’s the culture of an organization. Listen actively and show compassion and empathy in the workplace and you’ll see the difference! Thank you Senior Living Foresight for inviting me to share my perspective on DEI as a vendor, and huge shoutout to Marvell Adams Jr. and Sarah M. for paving the way to educate senior living industry members on such relevant topic.
In a can't-miss episode of Tech Tuesday, Jordan Evans sits down with Nathalya Ramírez of Early Intervention Systems to discuss DEI. They'll dive into the importance of it in leadership, not just in communities, but in all the businesses and organizations that serve senior living as a whole.

Welcome to the jungle! I feel so blessed that this is my first conference since my ACL surgery. We are so grateful to Inicio Ventures, Amplify LatinX, BII and everyone who supported EIS on this special day. Our CEO Nathalya Ramírez shared our company’s vision on stage and won 2nd place in this pitch competition. To many more :)
Boston, thank you!! The Latinx/e Startup Hub Tour 2024 kicked off its first nationwide stop with an unforgettable showcase of the region's vibrant startup and small business ecosystem. Huge shout out to Amplify LatinX and Boston Impact Initiative for a very well organized and memorable event. The day was a perfect blend of inspiration, competition and celebration, with incredible Latinx/e owned caterers, sparking conversations that would last well beyond the event. The excitement started with a series of ALXTalks that kept everyone engaged on a wide variety of topics. We dove into the world of micro-grants, learning how these small but mighty funds can supercharge businesses in the region. A passionate discussion on women's health followed, highlighting innovative solutions and the importance of addressing health disparities in the Latinx/e community. The talks continued with a powerful session on the power of storytelling, revealing how great narratives can fuel business success and create lasting impact and more! Lucy Perez Yvonne Castañeda, LICSW Juan Thurman Jovanny Rosado Yvonne Hao But the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the pitch competition. Five trailblazing Latinx/e businesses took the stage, each bringing unique and groundbreaking ideas. The energy was electric as they competed for a share of $35,000. The pitches were engaging, and inspiring, and showcased the incredible talent within our community. These accolades recognize exceptional contributions to the dynamic Latinx startup community in Boston. Congratulations to Boston Impact Initiative, Amplify LatinX, and Oliver Sanchez for their well-deserved titles of Funder of the Year, Founder of the Year, and Ecosystem Builder of the Year, respectively. Your ongoing dedication continues to inspire us every day! The event transitioned to a lively cocktail hour. With drinks in hand, attendees continued to network, celebrate, and dream big. The room buzzed with excitement, laughter, and the promise of future collaborations. The Boston stop of the Latinx/e Startup Hub Tour set a high bar, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating the next leg of this incredible journey. Every Shark Tank needs a Mr. Wonderful, but we think ours is the best! DANIEL GEMP emceed the inaugural Senior Living 100 Shark Tank, and he impressed everyone with his perfectly crafted puns for each presenter: “Let’s prepare to see who succeeds and who flounders with today’s founders! First into the tank, Sam Barend, CEO of AION Biosystems.” “Next up… Jeff McSpadden, Co-Founder & CEO of Composure. Let’s see if he can keep his composure in front of our sharks.” “Next into the Tank, we have Lauren Davis, Founder & CEO of FASTMedical, LLC. Better swim fast to stay out of reach of these sharks!” “Next up we have Liat Primor, Co-Founder & CEO of FeelBetter, which she will if she lands an investment from one of our sharks today!” “Getting investment from these sharks will require some pretty advanced staffing and resourcing logistics, but Erich has a boat-full of logistics to bring into the Tank with Hop In Technologies.” “We don’t want to invest in late intervention, so thank you for Early Intervention Systems (Techstars ‘23), Nathalya!”

The 2024 Senior Living 100 is officially underway, and today's program was all about tech and innovation! Andy Miller and Benjamin Zaniello, MD MPH kicked us off with a candid conversation about the advantages and challenges of connected tech - from bring-your-own-device (BYOD) models to regulator biases. We then heard from Bryan Ziebart, Martha Hurr Ertl, Tisson Mathew, and Nick Patel on the importance of embedding data in decision making. Their biggest advice for leadership teams? Start small, but just start - don't wait for the perfect solution. And we closed out with the inaugural Senior Living 100 Shark Tank - hosted by DANIEL GEMP, our very own Mr. Wonderful! After Composure, FASTMedical, LLC, FeelBetter, Hop In Technologies, and Early Intervention Systems (Techstars ‘23) pitched their unique solutions, our panel of judges and audience members alike voted AION Biosystems' "Temp Shield" as the most promising technology for senior living!
