The 18th Dynare Conference took place on December 12-13 at the National University of Singapore, with the support of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and DSGE-net. As with previous editions, the conference brought together leading researchers in the field of quantitative macroeconomics. Keynote speeches were delivered by Eric Leeper (University of Virginia) and Todd Schoellman (Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis). Thanks to all the participants for the high quality of the scientific exchanges!

A new sampler for the Bayesian estimation of economic models, called the Differential-Independence Mixture Ensemble (DIME), has been added to Dynare. Already available in the unstable snapshot, will be in version 7. Contributed by Gregor Boehl.

At the 3rd Dynare Workshop for Advanced Users, Sébastien Villemot presented preliminary work on bringing HANK models to Dynare (joint with Normann Rion). Feedback is welcome on the proposed syntax and the chosen solution algorithms. https://lnkd.in/dz4X8m6S

It's great to be back in Ispra at the European Commission's Joint Research Center for the 3rd Dynare Workshop for Advanced Users. A huge thank you to the organizers around Marco Ratto for a perfectly coordinated workshop and the Dynare Team for their tremendous work. Many excellent contributions and interventions from Annukka Ristiniemi, Niki X. Papadopoulou, Falk Mazelis, PhD, Matthieu Darracq Pariès, Tobias Cwik, Sébastien Villemot, Marco Ratto, Ansgar Rannenberg, Luca Onorante, Matija Lozej and many others.

In a continuously changing world with global financial, epidemiological and climate crises, new perspectives frequently call for new or improved methods or reflection on existing methods. Over two half days we will focus on the methodological side of the cutting edge of macroeconomics. 📅 On October 22-23, my research workshop on "Numerical Methods in Macroeconomics" will bring together researchers at all stages with insights in these developments with keynote contributions by Harald Uhlig and Serguei Maliar.
