When we launched our #HireDetroit initiative in August, our goal was to help support the great advertising and creative talent in Detroit, foster connections, provide support and create positive momentum when our community needed it. Since then, #HireDetroit has gained traction in the socialsphere. The conversation around Detroit’s great talent pool has maintained energy. And at Doner, we’ve added amazing homegrown talent. #HireDetroit is now co-owned by our community. And for an entire day, we invited all to network, create connections, share reels & resumes and talk about the industry and city we love. Big shout outs to David DeMuth, Katherine Moncrief, Nicole Tourangeau, Carol Gluski, 24 Seven Talent, Derrick Bollin, Assembly Global, Executive Rhythm, LLC, Hart, Latcha, Meijer, Publicis Collective, Robert Half, SMZ Advertising and Wolfgang, LLC for supporting #HireDetroit, meeting with candidates and bringing great vibes all day. Yesterday’s event was not at all a culmination of anything. It’s another chapter in longer, and (we are certain) positive conversation.

A round of 👏 👏 👏 to Briana Wright for winning the Rising ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Award at Adcraft Detroit's Thrive, Activate & Elevate event for her leadership in DEI&B! As a second-year member on AdCraft’s Young Professionals Council, Briana was recently voted in as Co-Chair, making her the first ever POC to serve in this role. By amplifying voices and bringing a new perspective to the community, Briana is surely a rising star, indeed! Inspired by her mother, a former DEI consultant, and conversations around the dinner table, Briana hopes to continue to elevate her work each day with an inclusive and forward moving mindset – even if it requires getting uncomfortable and having tough conversations. When asked about receiving the award, Briana said, “It is such an honor to be recognized. I feel blessed to be a part of a community that takes the time to highlight the progress and effort being made throughout the industry while amplifying voices on many levels. People are listening and learning, and companies are eager to be the best they can be. It’s about doing what we can right now and trying to make the future better together.” #AdcraftDetroit #CommunityLeaders #YoungProfessionalCouncil #DEI
