We're delighted to share that our proposals for the redevelopment of the Bass New Brewery site in Burton-on-Trent have received planning and Listed Building consent ✅ Burton was a powerhouse of the brewing trade in the Industrial Revolution thanks to the high mineral content of its water supply. By the 1880s Bass was the largest brewer in the world and a household name, producing a million barrels of beer every year 🍺🍺🍺 Our mixed-use scheme will breathe new life into the now vacant site, offering around 300 high-quality apartments, a 150-key hotel and supporting retail and leisure uses 👨👩👧👦 The proposals will retain and sensitively re-use a number of historic buildings and structures across the site, including two listed Brewhouse buildings, fermenting towers and a copper kettle. New buildings have been carefully designed to make a positive contribution to the setting, and the site will be completely transformed through the introduction of generous public space, creating a sustainable new community at the heart of Burton town centre 🌳🌳🌳 For more details contact Patrick Evers RIBA or Ben Pipkin.
