Thank you to the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce for recognizing Constellation as part of its third annual Illinois Clean Energy Champion Awards earlier this month. In addition to providing approximately 75% of the state’s emissions-free power and employing more than 5,000 workers in Illinois, we’re committed to breaking down barriers and offering pathways to family-sustaining careers in our industry. 📷 Local Government Affairs Manager Sharon Johnson accepts the award on the company’s behalf.
About us
A Fortune 200 company headquartered in Baltimore, Constellation Energy Corporation (Nasdaq: CEG) is the nation’s largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy and a leading supplier of energy products and services to businesses, homes, community aggregations and public sector customers across the continental United States, including three fourths of Fortune 100 companies. With annual output that is nearly 90% carbon-free, our hydro, wind and solar facilities paired with the nation’s largest nuclear fleet have the generating capacity to power the equivalent of 15 million homes, providing about 10% of the nation’s clean energy. We are further accelerating the nation’s transition to a carbon-free future by helping our customers reach their sustainability goals, setting our own ambitious goal of achieving 100% carbon-free generation by 2040, and by investing in promising emerging technologies to eliminate carbon emissions across all sectors of the economy. https://www.constellationenergy.com/our-company/what-we-stand-for/our-purpose.htm Learn more at www.constellation.com or on Twitter at @ConstellationEG. We teamed up with the Optimist Club of Solomons in Calvert County, Md., to give away brand new bikes and helmets to 100 children. The bikes, assembled earlier this year by Constellation volunteers, were supplied by Free Bikes 4 Kidz Maryland. Seeing the joy, appreciation and smiles from these kids – many receiving their very first bike – is what the holiday season is all about.

Braidwood Clean Energy Center welcomed 27 students and staff from Kankakee Community College’s Instrumentation and Process Control program to gain firsthand experience on how the theories and applications taught in the classroom translate to a nuclear power plant. The tour featured stops in the main control room simulator and instrument maintenance training lab for demonstrations on the various instrumentation our operators use every day. Our team, which includes KCC graduates, also provided an overview of how we generate clean electricity and discussed the path from education and training programs to a job in our industry.
