Did you just get a new promotion, or are you stepping into a new role in 2025? 💡When you put good leaders in roles where there has been a legacy of ineffective leadership, the team will still be unsettled with the change.   Even leaders who are growth-minded and well-intentioned will run into brick walls and low trust with teams that have never experienced this leadership style or that have undergone high levels of change – especially if direction and accountability are lacking. Want to get ahead of this in the upcoming year?  Start by considering what consistent steps you will take to: ▶️ set expectations ▶️ gather input from your team ▶️ deliver feedback on a regular cadence. What tone will these conversations take, and how often will you have them?  🚀 I am excited to hear about how your new leadership roles optimize team success for a record-breaking year in 2025!

  • Major US-based companies have recently announced that they are rolling back or canceling Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs, expecting the next 4 years to bring more legislative action to ban or restrict DEI policies. ↘️ Recent developments point to a dwindling DEI trend. But we still live in a business environment that is global, and by definition, diverse. There are 8 billion people with their own viewpoints, languages, and cultures. Companies cannot ignore this in the workplace. This requires organizations to think creatively about how they leverage distinct leadership and learning styles to continue to engage their employees – no matter where they may be located or what perspective on DEI is at the table with them. DEI is not just about historically underrepresented population groups. It’s not about boxes that need to be checked to meet an imposed threshold. The real goal of DEI is creating the environments that spur business results by emphasizing individuals' sense of purpose and belonging. DEI is about every human being. And acknowledging their distinct skills sets and lived experiences, building on these to add to the strength of your organization. 🛣️ We are at a DEI crossroads. Where do we go from here? ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ec3UHKqQ

    • Navigating the Future of DEI
  • How do you increase the performance of your team? Try boosting the strengths of every individual member to unlock the potential of the whole. Individual performance is one of the many parts of an overarching organizational transformation process. For over 9 years, Conscient Strategies has been a part of a team partnering with the US Navy to drive a culture change initiative within civilian teams repairing naval ships. Through our Performance Coaching program, we enhanced individuals across the organization by promoting a strengths-based approach founded in emotional intelligence. 📈 The impact was tangible, with measurable improvements in quality, on-time delivery, and safety outcomes. Our work increased demand for leadership development and inspired a new generation of engaged leaders, highlighting the impact of workforce development efforts. 📧 Reach out to learn how we can help you strengthen your team. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eUTxiMXP

    • Leverage the individuals on your team
  • In today’s investment landscape, savvy investors know that neglecting human capital is a thing of the past. People are your greatest assets, and they cannot be overlooked. Trust the numbers – companies with consistently high human capital ROI (above 250%) outperformed their industry peers by an average of 22% in terms of profitability over a 5-year period. Investments succeed when you align your people with your strategic goals, turning change into growth and human capital into human potential. Don’t leave your investment to chance. OBJECTIVITY.  Have you ever noticed how much can be uncovered when you share your ideas, vision, and plans with a fresh pair of eyes and ears? I have recently started to test ideas and approaches with new colleagues and am finding it so energizing! Having a neutral outsider weigh in with productive feedback has allowed me to take a step back, revisit my reasoning, and reconsider elements I had not even thought about before. It is also pushing me to clarify and articulate ideas that I had long thought were either articulated sufficiently or needed refining. The process helps test your assumptions and validate your strategies, ensuring they are robust and well-founded. In fact, 57% of employees report that having an objective viewpoint improved their company’s performance. Objectivity is also a main reason why many of our clients bring us to the table.  We are able to help them validate their assumptions or uncover employee realities that had never made it to the corner office. By asking thoughtful questions, challenging preconceptions, and embedding analytical creativity into every conversation, we expand our clients’ thinking and drive accelerated results. 💬 What are some ways that having a neutral thought partner has helped you improve your business?     #outsider #neutral #consulting #riskreduction #advisory #newperpsective

  • ⏰  Motivation Moment! We all have coping mechanisms that we develop during childhood. It’s part of the human experience. Unfortunately, some of the habits we have adapted to get us through difficult times can actually work against us, often in subtle or subconscious ways. Andrew Miki’s #TedTalk helps us revisit our coping mechanisms and become more intentional with our actions when confronting challenging situations. Here are some tips that resonated with us: ➡️ Identify Counterproductive Habits: Many common coping mechanisms, like procrastination and endless scrolling on your phone, may give us some temporary relief but ultimately leave us feeling more depleted. ➡️ Build Resilience: Slowly breaking free from these habits can improve self-confidence. It’s about replacing short-term fixes with long-term strategies. ➡️ Seek Healthy Alternatives: Engage in activities that promote well-being and relieve stress. This could be exercise, mindfulness, or connecting with loved ones. ➡️ Awareness and Change: The first step to healthier coping is awareness. Recognize your habits and consciously working towards changing them – even if that change is gradual and non-linear. • Are your coping mechanisms healthy?
  • De-prioritizing culture as a key element of organizational success may be costing you more than you think. In fact, many continue to misinterpret culture as work activities that many employees would probably categorize as “forced fun.” So, what is culture, really? 💡 Check out our blog to find out. https://lnkd.in/ekWVttVM #BusinessCulture #Leadership #GrowthMindset #OrganizationalSuccess
