Imagine standing shoulder to shoulder with elders, visionary leaders, and changemakers from across industries, all joined in one mission: not just sustaining our planet but regenerating it. Last week, I had the chance to attend the Common Ground Kauai Summit in Hawaii, a transformative gathering that dove deep into planetary safety, people's well-being, and the shared purpose that aligns us all.
The summit placed its focus on the food system, the most vital roles it plays, and how regenerative leadership is the cornerstone of true change. Among the strong vital things, I learned throughout the summit: bridging the wisdom of the older, experienced generation with the creativity and energy of the youth, the necessary next step in forging a resilient future for all.
Hawaii wasn't just a place; it was an experience, a haven of learning, exploration, and connection with nature itself. It was an honor representing EARTH University with President Arturo Condo, together with my colleague Ana Morales. It was also a great opportunity to meet extraordinary mentors whose guidance will shape my journey toward creating a better future for our planet and people.
To my mentors and friends; Tim Hanchin, Shannon Hanchin, Katie Stebbins, E. Benjamin Skinner, Simon Mainwaring, Nicole Masters, Lisa Huddleson, Wandile Mtoba, Karlyn Adams, Sean Kaley, Pamela ‘Listens’ R., Miranda Chang, Franklin Chang, Michael Shaikh, Krista Kane, Justin Hart, Paula Hart, Kate Zigrang, Benjamin Zigrang, Melissa Hammel, Mike Davie, Laurie Davie, Oliver Niedermaier, Constanze Niedermaier, Marie Niedermaier and everyone who inspired me at the summit, thank you. The lessons and connections here will remain a guiding light as we work together for a regenerative world. Thank you to Common Ground Kauai and Universidad EARTH for giving me the opportunity to attend this life-changing summit.
