Reading the 2024 CDD Holiday Poem, got me 💡 thinking. I should write a poem.... I tried it was awful, so AI to rescue I gave my drafts and ideas to Chat GPT and asked in the tone of t'was the night before Christmas write a year end recap poem. Seriously for those with mental health, anxiety, addiction, etc... please know you are not alone and reach out connections so important. ’Twas the close of the year, and what a ride it has been, A journey of struggle, of loss, and of wins. One year of sobriety—a milestone so dear, A testament to strength through each challenge and tear. In my sales career’s twilight, twenty years strong, I was let go—it felt like everything had gone wrong. The horizon seemed dim, the future unclear, But the spark of resilience refused to disappear. This year, I also watched my dear mother’s brave fight, Two years against cancer, a battle of might. Her courage inspired me, her strength held me near, Her memory a beacon through grief’s heavy sphere. Then came CDD Vault, a light in the dark, A dream job, a mission that reignited my spark. With a team so inspiring, a role I adore, 2025 holds promise, with so much in store. To my network, my peers, and all who are near, I send heartfelt wishes of joy and good cheer. Here’s to growth, to health, and a brand-new year bright, Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good night. Here is the CDD Poem that inspired this post....
