We are the only full-service, pediatric health care center in Nebraska, providing expertise in primary care and more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children and families across a five-state region and beyond. Children’s is home to Nebraska’s only Level IV regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the state’s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and is recognized as a 2023-24 Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report in the pediatric specialty of Pulmonology. Our smallest patients received a big surprise on Wednesday – a cheery visit from Santa, who brightened the day for patients and families in Children's Nebraska's Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Santa made his annual stop going room-to-room in the NICU, spending time with little ones and bringing joy to all. Look back at this week's Scooter's Coffee CANDY LAND event at Children's Nebraska, a sweet and special afternoon for patients and families with games, goodies and joyful character meet-and-greets! 🍭😊🍬 CANDY LAND has held a special place in the hearts of children worldwide for 75 years. The game was created in 1949 to entertain patients hospitalized with polio -- just one year after Children's Memorial Hospital was founded in Omaha in the midst of the polio epidemic. What a sweet day at Children’s Nebraska! 🍭🍬 Our friends at Scooter's Coffee brought the magic of CANDY LAND to Children’s patients, families and team members today, turning our Solarium into the path to King Candy’s Candy Castle. Patients played games, posed for photos in a meet-and-greet with characters and enjoyed special CANDY LAND prizes. Scooter’s team also donated copies of the board game to the hospital and presented a generous gift to Children’s Nebraska Foundation, supporting our mission to improve the life of every child.
