  • "There is always something for which to be THANKFUL. When I was laid off, I’ll admit—it was hard to feel thankful. I faced uncertainty, frustration, and plenty of questions about what comes next. But in the midst of it all, I learned an important lesson: ✨ Your value doesn’t disappear when your job does. Losing my role gave me time to reflect on my own skills, talents, and passions. It also gave me an opportunity to focus on helping others. I found a renewed purpose in supporting professionals who, like me, are navigating uncertain waters. 📝 Through resume writing and career guidance, I’ve been able to help others: ✅ Rediscover their strengths ✅ Reframe their experiences ✅ Move forward with confidence If you’re in that same position right now—laid off, unsure, or overwhelmed—know this: 💡 You have talents that matter. 🌟 Your experiences are valuable. 🎯 Your next opportunity is out there, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet. Lean into your strengths, ask for support when you need it, and take a moment to focus on what you do have. For me, I’m thankful for the chance to turn my setback into someone else’s breakthrough. 🙌 Let’s lift each other up. What are you thankful for in your career journey so far?

  • 🚨 Rant of the Week: The Broken State of Job Application Systems 🚨 Let’s talk about ATS systems that don’t let applicants enter basic information like education or skills due to glitches. 🛑📝 I recently applied for a role at a well-known sporting goods organization using Workday. No matter how I tried, the system wouldn’t let me input my education or skills. 🤦♂️💻 I Googled workarounds, only to find this has been a known issue since 2023. 😤 I flagged this to the hiring team, and their response? “We’ll look into it.” My follow-up question: How much top talent are you losing because of this? 🤔 This is frustrating, to say the least. These tools are supposed to streamline hiring and make it more effective and fair. Instead, they’re creating barriers for candidates and potentially costing companies the best applicants. 🚪✨ 💡 The job application process needs a serious overhaul. If companies want to attract and retain top talent, investing in systems that actually work is a non-negotiable. 📢 Have you encountered similar issues? Let’s discuss in the comments—maybe together, we can spark some change. 🔥👇 #JobSearch 🔍 #ATS #Workday #Recruitment 🤝 #TalentAcquisition #HRTech 💡 #JobApplication 🖊️ #HiringProcess 🚀 #JobSeekerStruggles 😩 #HRInnovation 💻 #RecruiterTips #BrokenSystems#CareerDevelopment 📈 #HiringChallenges

  • 💡 Let’s Talk About Job Searching and LinkedIn 💡 I get it. LinkedIn feels less like a networking tool and more like a sea of motivational posts and “humblebrags” these days. For job seekers, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or invisible. But here’s the truth: LinkedIn is still one of the most powerful tools for finding opportunities—if you cut through the noise. Here’s how: 1️⃣ Be Direct: Instead of passively engaging with posts, reach out to people. Send messages like, “I see you work in [industry]. I’d love to hear how you got started.” These conversations can lead to opportunities faster than scrolling ever will. 2️⃣ Update Your Profile: Clear, concise, and focused profiles stand out. Highlight what you do best and make it easy for someone to understand your value in 10 seconds. 3️⃣ Stay Visible (the Right Way): Share insights, not fluff. For example, post about trends in your industry, lessons from your work experience, or even challenges you’re tackling in your career. 4️⃣ Ask for Help: This might feel uncomfortable, but it’s necessary. If you’re job hunting, let your network know what you’re looking for. Clarity helps people help you. Yes, the platform isn’t perfect, but the connections and opportunities are real if you use it intentionally. Let’s take LinkedIn back to what it’s meant to be: a space for real connections and real opportunities. If you’re hiring or know of openings, drop them in the comments. Let’s support each other. #Networking #CareerGrowth #JobSearch #RealTalk

  • When Offers Are Rescinded, Candidates Deserve Answers 🤔💼 The job market is tough right now, and candidates are doing everything they can to secure their next opportunity. But what happens when a company rescinds an offer after a candidate has already committed? I recently had a candidate who accepted an offer from a large, well-established US company in the heavy equipment and machinery sector. After passing all required testing—drug, physical, and lifting assessments with flying colors—he was told just two days later that the offer was being rescinded. So, he asked why? And what was HR's response? No explanation. No clarity. 🙄 This is not just frustrating; it’s unfair. And it makes the company look bad. Candidates make major decisions based on these offers, sometimes turning down other opportunities in good faith. They deserve respect and transparency when things change. We must remember: People are human. HR and recruiters let’s do better. We owe it to candidates to communicate honestly and clearly—especially when their future is on the line. 🌟 #Recruitment #HR #CandidateExperience #JobMarket #Transparency #Respect #DoBetter #PeopleAreHuman

  • "Ghosted After an Interview? Here’s How to Keep Moving Forward 🚀" In today’s job market, it’s INCREDIBLY frustrating to go through interviews only to be met with radio silence. Many of my clients have shared their experiences of being ghosted by recruiters or not receiving feedback after multiple interviews, which can feel disheartening (not to mention, it's rude). Here are some strategies to keep the momentum going—even when communication drops off: Stay Proactive 🕵️♂️ – Politely follow up with recruiters or hiring managers after your interview. A short email a week later can show you’re interested without being pushy. Keep Your Pipeline Full 🔄 – Never wait on one opportunity. Continue applying, networking, and attending interviews. This way, you're not putting all your eggs in one basket. Seek Feedback 📝 – If possible, reach out to any interviewers or connections at the company. Even if you don’t receive a response, this effort demonstrates professionalism. Focus on Building Skills and Connections 📚🤝 – Use the time between interviews to develop a skill or connect with industry professionals. This keeps your spirits up and ensures you’re improving. Stay Positive 💪 – Remember that ghosting isn’t a reflection of your skills. Hiring can be unpredictable, but perseverance will pay off. If you’re finding it tough out there, know that you’re not alone. I’m here to help refine your resume, prep for interviews, and strategize so you can feel confident about your search, no matter how uncertain the process might feel. Have you been ghosted after an interview? 👻 What did you do to keep the conversation going, or how did you handle the silence?

  • 🚨 Unfulfilled at Work? Here’s How to Take Control of Your Career Path 🚨 We’ve all had days (or even seasons) when work feels less than inspiring. If you’re finding yourself feeling more unfulfilled than usual, it might be time to take a closer look at why. Here are some practical steps to start turning things around: Identify What’s Missing 🕵️♂️✨ Ask yourself: Is it a lack of growth? Misalignment with company values? Or perhaps feeling unrecognized?Understanding the root cause can help you take action that targets what matters most to you. Seek Growth and Learning 📚🌱 If your role feels stagnant, find ways to stretch. Take on a new project, sign up for a relevant course, or volunteer to lead an initiative. Growth doesn’t always come with a new title—it can happen in your current role, too. Check Your Alignment with Values 💡💼 Sometimes dissatisfaction stems from being out of sync with company values or culture. Reflect on what’s important to you and consider if there’s a mismatch. If so, think about roles or companies that might be a better fit. Invest in Relationships 🤝💬 Building strong connections with colleagues can enhance your work experience. Try to find a mentor, be a mentor, or simply connect more deeply with your team. Positive relationships can add meaning to your day-to-day and might even lead to new opportunities. Plan for Your Future 🚀🗺️ If you decide it’s time for a change, start setting clear, realistic goals for yourself. Update your resume, expand your network, and prepare for the journey ahead—taking small steps today will make future transitions feel empowering, not daunting. Being proactive in addressing what’s making you unhappy is key 🔑. You don’t have to accept a role that doesn’t serve you. By taking control, you’re one step closer to a fulfilling career that excites you! Remember: Your career is a marathon, not a sprint 🏃♂️🏅. Small, consistent actions can lead to big changes. ✨ #CareerGrowth #TakeTheReins #NewBeginnings
