Today, we observe Veterans Day—a time to honor and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who’ve served our country. As we pay tribute to our veterans, let’s also recognize family caregivers who support them every day. Their commitment to their loved ones brings comfort, healing, and strength, especially when the journey isn’t easy. Let’s take a moment to express our gratitude for these incredible caregivers who help our veterans continue to thrive at home. #VeteransDay #FamilyCaregivers #HonorAndSupport Read an encouraging story from a veteran who used CaringBridge through their health journey: https://ow.ly/FQSe50U4hXm

CaringBridge is proud to be an alliance partner with the HealthWell Foundation, a national nonprofit whose mission is to reduce financial barriers to care for underinsured Americans with chronic or life-altering diseases. When health insurance is not enough, they fill the gap by assisting with copays, premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses. Since 2004, HealthWell has helped over one million patients afford critical medical treatments. As partners, CaringBridge and HealthWell work together to offer support and care to others throughout their health journey. November is National Family Caregivers Month, and this year, CaringBridge is honoring the heart of care in support of family caregivers. These selfless individuals dedicate their time, energy, and love to caring for those who need it most, often without asking for anything in return. CaringBridge is all about making it easier for family caregivers to ask for help and receive the support they deserve. Throughout the month, CaringBridge will be sharing stories, testimonials, articles, and videos highlighting the important role of family caregivers in society and the impact CaringBridge has had on the health journey of a loved one. We invite you to nominate a family caregiver in your life to receive a free basket: https://wkf.ms/4ecdQZf. Up to 20 baskets from Spoonful of Comfort will be awarded with the drawing and winners announced December 2nd. We invite you to honor the caregivers in your life by offering a helping hand, a kind word, or a simple reminder that they’re not alone. Together, we can uplift the heart of care and ensure that every caregiver feels supported, valued, and empowered to ask for the help they need.

Welcome to the second in the series of Bridges of Care (#bridgesofcare), a place where healthcare leaders and our own CaringBridge employees and board members answer five consistent questions that highlight their own personal #caregiving / #healthjourney story and insights. Uncovering themes and universal truths. Giving people a hand to hold on any healthcare journey. All in the name of de-stigmatizing caregiving. My second guest is Kristy Lindquist. Co-Founder and Partner, Chasm Partners, #Caregiver, and CaringBridge Board Member. Find out why Kristy thinks the Swedish proverb: ”Shared joy is double joy and shared sorrow is half a sorrow” is an important piece of advice for any #familycaregiver.

Coming to you after a very productive week in Las Vegas at HLTH Inc. - my first. I was able to represent CaringBridge at three key thought leadership moments. 1️⃣ With WBL (Women Business Leaders of the US Health Care Industry Foundation) for an expert panel with the 2024-2025 cohort of #WBLFellows (wbl.org/fellows) for an intensive in-person orientation. It was rejuvenating and inspiring to connect with these amazing leaders who are transforming #healthcare. Mary Anne Mason, Lynn Shapiro Snyder, Katherine Saunders, MD and I sat with our Fellows for over 4 hours, sharing experiences, anecdotes, and real on-the-ground advice for using WBL's powerful Relationship Capital™. 2️⃣ At the launch of The Care Badge with The Joint Commission and ARCHANGELS (Alexandra Drane rocked the main stage with Greg Adams, Chair & CEO of Kaiser Permanente). The Care Badge is meant to give and receive - helping unpaid caregivers realize their value but also recognizes their vital contributions. Behind the badge is a program designed to connect caregivers with resources (CaringBridge one of them) and opportunities to highlight and leverage the skills they’ve acquired. 3️⃣ The launch of 'Health 2035: A Bold Path Through the Uncharted Future of Health' released by the LINUS Group and HSBC Innovation Banking aggregating insights from discussions I was a part of in NYC a few months ago with other healthcare leaders. The report explores the intersection of industry and health through a two-fold lens: the young physician perspective and future scenarios that will drive innovation. Kristin Apple and Katherine Andersen spoke to data from the report, highlighting key barriers, opportunities, and innovations that will redefine care delivery and life sciences. Download here: https://lnkd.in/g7aFrEty. And #ftw even squeezed in a 6am sunrise hike in the beautiful Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area before meetings. To everyone I met or ran into - thanks for making HLTH a good first experience! Energized and excited to share key insights from the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers Convening: Making the Unseen Seen in Detroit this past week. Some eye-opening statistics: 👩❤️👩 We know 53 million Americans are family (or unpaid) caregivers – people supporting a loved one going through a health journey. That number expands to over 100 million when you add those caring for children. 💼 61% of employees are caregivers: Employers take note! Click my short article below to read on for other key takeaways, quotes and stories. One of my favorites that we all need to focus on and remember. Caregiving is unique. “If you’ve met one caregiver, you’ve met one caregiver.” Read that again... Inspired by the collaborative energy and innovative approaches discussed. CaringBridge is looking forward to putting these insights into action to better support caregivers everywhere. A special thank you to Jennifer Olsen for her leadership the past six years at RCI. First Lady Carter is proud. “Let’s not forget, it’s not if you will be a caregiver, it’s when.” Paurvi B., Lindsay Goldman, Rajeev Ramchand, Lezlie Poole, Moranda Guy, LaCinda J., Maxine Kellman, DVM, PhD, PMP, Tom Chiodo, Ke (Kelly) Wang, Ph.D., Toni Miles, Elizabeth Field, Karen Kavanaugh, Stacey Gordon, Kristie King, Misha Stallworth West, Amber Slichta, Abbey Voelker #familycaregivers #HealthcareInnovation #CommunitySupport
