As 2024 ends, we can’t help but reflect on the people around us who helped make this year so memorable. This holiday season we celebrate all that we have achieved together and look forward to the new year ahead. In the hopes of creating a brighter future for those who need it the most, this year we are supporting Project HOME, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, ElderNet of Lower Merion and Narberth, and the Volunteers of America Delaware Valley Adopt a Family Program. Learn more about these charities at our Insights blog (https://hubs.ly/Q03039QY0) Wishing you a wonderful holiday season from Brian Tierney and your friends at Brian Communications.

Huge congratulations to this year's award recipients: Hailee Elko, Jess Torres, John K. Strain, Marielle Luke (not pictured), and Kristen Love (not pictured). Thank you to our entire team for your hard work and dedication this past year. Your efforts have led to meaningful victories for our clients and we can't wait to see what the New Year brings!

At Brian Communications, we understand the power of collaboration and community in creating lasting change. The recent op-ed in The Philadelphia Inquirer from our Senior Advisor David W. Brown, sheds light on the urgent need for more effective interventions to combat gun violence in Philadelphia. As leaders in communications, we believe in the power of public discourse to drive change and save lives. Together, we can make a difference.
So proud to have this important voice shared in today’s The Philadelphia Inquirer about how we all must work together to reduce gun violence in our community. https://lnkd.in/eyr92xdg

Another exciting episode of Inside Story with 6abc WPVI-TV Philadelphia is in the books! On Sunday, I was joined by fellow panelists Ajay Raju, Farah Jimenez, and Nelson A. Diaz to dive into some of the region's most pressing topics. We took a closer look at the preparations for the 2026 Semiquincentennial celebration – a year that could be Philadelphia’s biggest since 1776! From arts and culture to major sporting events like the FIFA World Cup 26 Philadelphia™, MLB All-Star Game, and March Madness, 2026 is shaping up to be a game-changer for the city and the region. We also discussed Senator Bob Casey’s race against David McCormick, President-Elect Donald Trump’s local cabinet picks and the ongoing impact of tariffs. A big thanks to our host Matt O'Donnell for facilitating such a lively discussion. Be sure to check out the full episode: https://lnkd.in/esFxBV3s

It’s the holiday season and that means festive ads are once again taking over. Perhaps one of the most iconic ads to date here in Pennsylvania is the PA Lottery Christmas commercial that takes the airways by storm every year. But did you know that members of #TeamBrian played an important part in the creation and execution of this memorable ad? The spot was developed by Tierney & Partners (led by Brian Tierney) in 1992 to increase interest in Pennsylvania Lottery tickets as a gift for family, friends, colleagues – anyone you know (18 or older of course)! Our very own Executive Vice President, Ed Mahlman, served as Account Director at the time and continued to run the spot when he later became the Lottery’s Executive Director into the 2000’s. The results speak for themselves – December became an especially strong month for sales and the ad has been called a “holiday tradition”. What other holiday ads are you excited to see this season? https://hubs.ly/Q02ZBbdQ0
The classic Pennsylvania Lottery Christmas commercial is back. We explain the beloved ad’s history.
