Black autistic youth face an increased risk of negative interactions with the police. To help improve those interactions to keep everyone safe, our Center for Autism Research developed a new methodology to conduct a study with Black parents and caregivers and amplify their voices in a research study about their concerns. Ultimately, parents and caregivers have hopes for improved training and resources for police to better interact with autistic youth. Learn more about this important study in this HealthDay News story.
