This December, Books ‘n’ Bears at the Holidays, the program that has brought laughter and literacy to generations of Broward children, returns to the Broward County Library for the 37th year. Taking place at library branches and childcare centers in underserved communities throughout the county, these fun programs feature story times, songs, and a book and cuddly teddy bear for each of the 3,200 participating children ages 2 to 4. This year’s book is Laura Gehl’s Delivery Bear. Along with the Library Foundation, Books ‘N’ Bears is sponsored by Broward County Library, Florida Panthers Foundation, and Community Foundation of Broward.
