Last week, #BayClub associates across our 26 clubs had the opportunity to come together at our Annual Meeting—taking place at 1440 Multiversity. It is a special time for over 300 of our team members, friends of the Bay Club, and special guests to connect, reflect, and dream. ⁠We are so grateful for this time we get to spend together and leave feeling inspired and proud of the culture we have created here at the Bay Club.

PARENT PERSPECTIVE: EXCEPTIONAL INTERNSHIP My son, Cole Shields, spent four extraordinary weeks this past summer as a member of the visionary 2024 Sports, Outdoor Recreation, & Active Lifestyle Internship Program created by The Bay Club Company. Cole was one of 16 interns [ 8 women + 8 men ] from nine universities participating in this program, home-based in San Francisco. From my perspective as a parent, the word 'Intern' does not aptly describe the experience. I would describe it as a series of Master Classes in Sports, Outdoor Recreation, and Active Lifestyle. The interns traveled throughout California and the Pacific Northwest in four action-packed weeks. They had exceptional access to businesses, resorts, sports facilities, and recreational powerhouses. The crème de la crème. In addition, the interns had private meetings with over 45 owners, executives, founders, leaders, disruptors, and visionaries in this sector, gaining coveted insight while having lively Q&A and furthering authentic engagement. The travel, hands-on experience, and invaluable insight provided by ‘The Masters’ was a game-changer.    I can tangibly see how this four-week journey positively impacted Cole. He is a Junior pursuing a degree in Finance in the Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama. Dots are meaningfully connected, his focus is now sharpened, and the possibilities within this sports, outdoor recreation, and active lifestyle industry are on his radar. As a young man who has been involved in competitive sports since the ripe old age of 6, he now sees the ability to combine his passion, his lifestyle, and his professional goals! It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Dr. Mark Dedomenico, the beloved co-founder and former owner of PRO Club. Dr. Mark passed away on Saturday, December 7th. Dr. Mark's visionary leadership shaped PRO Club for decades, making it a place where members and associates could gather, stay healthy, have fun, and raise families. Beyond his work at PRO Club, his groundbreaking medical research has saved countless lives and continues to leave a lasting impact. There is so much to say about the incredible legacy Dr. Mark leaves behind and the profound influence he has had on our community and the world. Dr. Mark’s passion, generosity, and vision will never be forgotten.

Your 2024 Rewind is here! In honor of Spotify Wrapped Day, we’re taking a look back at some of our favorite moments of the year, and celebrating the amazing #BayClub community that made it possible. And yes, you read that right—Someone checked into their club 772 times this year already!

This past summer I gained my first professional experience through my internship with The Bay Club Company. I was fortunate to be one of 16 students chosen for their inaugural Sports and Active Lifestyle internship. This internship exceeded my expectations in every way possible and I want to thank the Bay Club team for giving me this incredible opportunity. Over the course of four weeks, we learned about all of the different sectors of the Sports and Active Lifestyle industry including fitness, golf, health and wellness, hospitality, private equity, professional sports and outdoor recreation. Some of the companies we met with included KKR, Los Angeles Chargers, Nike, Alterra Mountain Company, Pebble Beach Resorts and more. I was amazed by the amount of career opportunities available in this industry along with the tremendous growth of the industry in recent years. As a current college student, I feel that my peers do not consider this industry seriously enough for lifelong careers. Whether you have a passion for sports, fitness, outdoor recreation or anything else related to an active lifestyle there is certainly a place for you in the industry. Many of our conversations emphasized how this industry will continue to rapidly grow as Gen Z enters the workforce. As a member of Gen Z, I can confidently say that we value experiences over things. An industry built on experiences whether an athletic club, ski resort or football stadium will continue to thrive in an experience economy. Inspired by Professor Jay Mandel and my Digital Marketing class this semester, I have decided to share why the Sports and Active Lifestyle industry is the place to be both in the present and in the future. As a part of my #ActLikeAMarketer project, I will continue sharing some trends from the Sports and Active Lifestyle industry over the next week. This holiday, we’re making the season brighter for kids and families around our communities. We partnered with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation with a goal to collect over 24,000 toys across all of our Clubs (last year we collected over 20,000!). Watch Marissa Tries Toys for Tots as she shops locally, and meets with a Marine to learn why this is so important to families in our local communities. It's never been easier to support: 1. Drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the Club (all 26 clubs are official toy drop-off locations!). 2.
