I firmly believe that time is our most precious commodity and resource. How we choose to spend it determines the impact we leave on future generations. As my children enter adulthood, I’ve embraced a radical approach to upgrading my skills as a leader, parent, and advocate for environmental action. I recently joined a stewardship program at the Monastic Academy, driven by a desire to clarify my vision as an individual contributor, a parent, and a leader. This journey is about reconnecting with my body, mind, spirit, and the earth, and understanding what it takes to create an intentional community where ensuring actions match our written and spoken word. It’s about learning to communicate, interact, and support one another through personal triggers and conditioned behaviors for the greater benefit of a prosperous Earth and all its inhabitants. Through this experience, I’m discovering that meditation, vocal chants, and mindful communication are powerful tools—just like composting, AI, and the study of Dataism. These resources are invaluable for refining our thinking and improving our practices, both personally and organizationally. They welcome aspiring leaders and teams who are passionate about environment and sustainability to get involved and reconnect with the land and offer many training programs.
