We love our outreach opportunities!! Here you can see two vital ABHIN team members that are all smiles- Project Coordinator Miste Trent and Peer Specialist Ashley Sanders bring awareness to suicide prevention efforts in our target area of Baxter County at the Harvest of Hope event last month. Thank you to Baxter Health for helping us host this event- even through the popup rainstorm! 😀 #prevention #behavioralhealth #primarycare #BHI #IBH

ABHIN attended the UAMS Schizophrenia Conference held at the City Center in Little Rock last Friday. This event hosted several different disciplines including MD, PharmD, and PHD level clinicians who gave us insight on the health status of those with this disease, the current pharmacological interventions available, and how certain types of behavioral therapy have been shown to improve mood and symptom management. In addition, attendees heard from Elyn Saks, Ph.D., J.D., who shared her personal experience with schizophrenia followed by a panel discussion highlighting the family members of those living with Schizophrenia. We want to sincerely thank UAMS - University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for providing this free learning opportunity as well as the new Odyssey Clinic which is poised to make significant change in the lives of Arkansans suffering from psychosis. We cannot wait until the next one! #behavioralhealth #BHI #IBH #MentalHealth #primarycare #recovery #schizophrenia
