If no fare has been quoted, confirm the approximate price and that there are no "surprise" charges, like 'surge pricing'. 3. Should you ever feel unsafe, call a friend or family member and, with them on speaker, tell the Driver that you want them to pull over at the closest safe location. You do not owe the Driver any explanation, and cannot be charged for any part of the travel that you did not take. 4. Try not to coax the Driver into any unsafe or illegal course of action, like "It's ok to run that light" or "I need you to go faster." For you it is one ride, but if a Driver gets a ticket, it could be the end of his/her employment. 5. Be courteous, insomuch as not eating, drinking, vaping or smoking in a vehicle. The Driver is getting you from Point A to Point B - not providing a mobile lounge for you to be messy, inconsiderate or rude. * PTS is an acronym used for "Passenger Transportation Service"
