As we wrap up 2024, we wanted to look back on a year filled with meaningful partnerships, successful projects, and a shared commitment to driving positive change for the communities we serve. This year, we strengthened relationships with long-standing partners, built new collaborations, and delivered impactful programmes that supported individuals, enhanced teams, and helped organisations create lasting community benefits. Delivered leadership development programmes, workshops, and coaching that helped teams build confidence, improve collaboration, and achieve their goals. Facilitated strategic partnerships across sectors, advancing projects in housing, health innovation, and organisational development. Hosted landmark events, including the launch of the Surrey Paper at the Healthy City Conference, the first #BeMore Networking Breakfast, and a True North Round Table focused on unlocking the Northern economy’s potential. Supported future-focused initiatives such as the Waverley Insight House and critical work with Cancer Alliances. We are thankful to all our partners and collaborators for their continued trust and shared vision. Your partnership drives our mission of supporting great people to build great places where communities can thrive. As we look forward to 2025, we’re excited to build on this year’s successes, expand our reach, and create new opportunities for collaboration. Watch our 2024 highlights reel to see some of the inspiring work we’ve accomplished together. In October, we held a panel at the Healthy Cities Design Conference, where we launched our new report: Lets Start with People: Health Innovation in Surrey. Insights from leaders like Robert White, Neil Orpwood, Lord Andrew Mawson, Liz Towns-Andrews OBE, Atul Patel, and Rachael Baker highlighted how creative, community-centred solutions are already driving meaningful change: 🔸 Shifting essential services from hospitals to community spaces, making healthcare more accessible where people live. 🔸 Creating hubs that combine health, leisure, and education to foster holistic community resilience. 🔸 Partnering with businesses, faith groups, and educational institutions to tackle social determinants of health together. Join us this Thursday at our #BeMore Breakfast Online Networking Event to explore these ideas further, connect with changemakers, and be inspired by real stories from the Surrey Paper and lets talk about how creativity and collaboration are vital to solving society’s biggest health challenges. 👉 Book your place now on Eventbrite: https://lnkd.in/eCuzZre4 #BeMore #SocialInnovation #HealthyCommunities #360DegreeSociety #SurreyPaper #NetworkingEvent

When we talk about health, we’re looking beyond hospitals and clinics. It’s about the environments we live in, the connections we share, and the purpose that brings us together. Over the past six years, our work in North West Surrey Health and Care Alliance—alongside Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the NW Surrey Alliance, HLM Architects, and local organisations like Tribe—has shown what’s possible when health becomes part of everyday life. By bringing together public services, businesses, and social organisations, we’ve reimagined what’s achievable through collaboration. At our #BeMore Breakfast, we’ll explore the stories, insights, and partnerships behind this work, all captured in our new report, ‘Let’s Start with People – Creating a Health Innovation System in Surrey': https://lnkd.in/erKAYPsV This is an opportunity to discuss how cross-sector collaboration has not just transformed services but reshaped lives—offering practical recommendations for scaling impact and driving change. Date: 11th December 2024 Time: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM Location: Online We’ll reflect on how innovative, people-first thinking can influence placemaking and create healthier, stronger communities. Your insights would add so much to this conversation. Space is limited, so register now via Eventbrite—we’d love for you to join us. https://lnkd.in/eCuzZre4 #HealthInnovation #Placemaking #Collaboration

Great to see Kris Mackay and Edwina Hewson from Brabners hosting an insightful roundtable in Liverpool on achieving Purpose and Social Impact. The insights gathered will shape the upcoming Scaling Northern Ambition report. #SocialImpact #PurposeDriven #CommunityEngagement #ScalingNorthernAmbition
Thank you to everyone who joined our True North roundtable sessions over the past two weeks to discuss how businesses can help address barriers to growth. On 7 November we were in Lancashire exploring Sustainable Growth. Moderated by Nick Giles, co-founder of Seven Hills BPI, alongside our Advisory Council’s James Bumphrey Greengage Environmental Ltd and Marcus Armstrong, we discussed: 🟩 Why education is a crucial missing piece of the puzzle for many SMEs tackling ESG 🟩 The need for more guidance and straightforward policies around sustainability 🟩 Why increased collaboration is fundamental to ensure no one is left behind. Last week in Liverpool, Kris Mackay, 360 Degree Society and Edwina Hewson hosted a roundtable on achieving Purpose and Social Impact. Key takeaways included: 🟪 We need to help businesses to understand what they can achieve and where they can make the most impact 🟪 The importance of case studies, so that organisations can learn from each other and see best practice 🟪 Genuine engagement between communities and businesses is crucial, so that purpose isn’t performative. These valuable insights will inform our upcoming Scaling Northern Ambition report and we’re looking forward to our fourth and final roundtable for 2024 — focusing on People Skills and The Future — taking place in Leeds in early December.
