We are proud to support the Evening Standard’s Winter Appeal, A Place to Call Home campaign, in partnership with Comic Relief. To support charities helping refugees and people affected by homelessness, The Barratt Foundation has donated £100,000 to the appeal. Andy Button-Stephens, Head of the Barratt Foundation, said: “Our donation will help spread warmth to communities across the UK this winter – by funding food banks, local homeless shelters and temporary accommodation for those who urgently need it." The Barratt Foundation represents Barratt Redrow across all of its charitable work. The Foundation’s vision is to help communities throughout the UK to thrive, focusing its support on children and young people and those most disadvantaged. We are delighted to announce that our School Outreach Programme, delivered in partnership with The School Outreach Company has won the ‘Innovation in Recruitment’ award at the Personnel Today Awards! 🏆 Together, we’ve reimagined how we engage with primary schools, secondary schools and colleges across Britain to ignite interest, change the perception of the housebuilding industry, and promote the vast range of career opportunities we offer for young people. Working with a wider network of over 200 employee champions, the programme aims to address the industry’s talent gap by providing students with hands-on experience, mentorship, and clear pathways to long-term careers. We do this through engaging with over 1,750 schools, delivering workshops, assemblies, newsletters and webinars, to interact with young people. To date, 400,000 Year 12 & 13 students have been reached, with over 1 million students engaged across all targeted schools and colleges. This award recognition is a testament to the dedication of our divisional champions and our collaboration with The School Outreach Company. Thank you to all of our people who continue to champion careers in housebuilding and engage with the next generation of talent. #InnovationInRecruitment #PersonnelTodayAwards #BarrattRedrow

To mark International Men’s Day, our gender equality employee network, Under One Roof, hosted a truly impactful online session in partnership with #ANDYSMANCLUB, a leading men’s suicide prevention charity. The session, themed ‘It’s OK to Talk,’ focused on the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and encouraging open and honest conversations. With approximately 100 colleagues joining, it was a significant opportunity to come together as a community to support each other. We were also joined by our Health and Wellbeing Manager, Philip Hargreaves, who directed to the dedicated mental health advice and support we offer to our people at Barratt Redrow. Thank you to all who came to the session and contributed towards us re-enforcing that #ItsOkToTalk. #InternationalMensDay #MentalHealthMatters #ItsOkToTalk #BarrattRedrow

BBC Breakfast broadcast live from Energy House 2.0 this week, the unique research lab at The University of Salford. The programme focused on the move to electrified heating, as the country continues its journey towards gas-free new homes. Reporter Ben Boulos spoke with Oliver Novakovic and Richard Fitton about what the test findings mean for homeowners and renters, how much the transition to electrified heating will cost, and what the long-term savings will be. The latest research also featured in the Sunday Times last weekend, and will be shared with Government, local authorities, housebuilders and suppliers.
