My recommendation is not to insist. The world is full of potential new connections. I wouldn't recommend persistence in such a situation. To go forward: -Persist with seeking new connections via common connections -Keep on posting relevant posts preferably with thought leadership Your network will prosper automatically and organically

If a potential connection is unresponsive, here’s how to proceed effectively: Be Patient, Follow-Up Once: Wait a few days and then send a polite follow-up, showing continued interest. Provide Value: Offer relevant insights, a compliment, or resource that aligns with their field. Maintain Presence: If still silent, engage with their posts or industry discussions to stay on their radar without pushing. Last but not least, develop yourself and your company to the level that your company is so good that no one can ignore. This keeps the door open for future engagement while respecting their space.

My best tip is to keep your cool. Just because you are met with a silent response, it doesn't mean the person dislikes you. You have no idea what others are going through. The person could be thinking about a stressful project, family situation, upcoming plans, etc. Determine how urgently you need a response from them and follow up accordingly. First, by messages or e-mail, and later a call if needed. It might take a few tries before you receive a response you are looking for. If the energy of the person does not match yours for any reason, ask someone else to follow up on your behalf. Delegating always helps if you anticipate that your colleague will be met with a warmer response.

Try again. People can be busy and lose track of your request. Or try to find a link to them by researching their background. Six degrees of separation?

Retomar conexões silenciosas requer estratégia. Seguem algumas dicas: 1.

When a potential connection goes silent, I start with a gentle and polite reminder, emphasizing why I’d like to connect. I also make sure to add value to my communication, such as sharing articles or insights that might be useful based on their interests. If the silence continues, I focus on building other new relationships, knowing that some connections may come back later. Ultimately, I understand that timing is key, so I always leave the door open for future interactions.

When a potential connection is silent -most of the time it's not about us. Some have many things going on in their lives. Touch base with them- a gentle reminder and or an email, text or note checking to see if they are okay. They may have had to deal with personal family issues and are out of pocket for a short time. Or they lost their phone, their computer crashed or any number of things! Touching base with a gentle reminder reminds them you care about them and not about making a sale. This technique will set you apart from those who do "push marketing".
