I treat both webinars and video work like I'm having a conversation with each person in my audience. I always think of the "WIFFM" aspect of what I would want as an audience member, and I shape my actions around that. So it is best to use humor that relates to the background of your audience. So if you have done your home work to know your audience than humor that relates to them your presentation, podcast or talk can have a positive impact on your audience.
