Exactly so, each time I have a speaking engagement, I always tailor my talk to suit my audience. What goes for a men's meeting will not fly in a women's convention. You can not be speaking to teenagers about parenting or addressing them just the way their parents would, it will not work well, most times when I speak to teenagers, I become one with them, speak their language and then I can easily reach them with my message.
