Don’t just say who they should connect with. Stop the conversation and make the call . Send the email. Explain you are not being disrespectful and that you are making it happen immediately. Your benefit will come later. They will reach back out to you. Remember Givers Gain.

Following up without appearing self-serving involves demonstrating genuine interest and offering value to the person you're reaching out to. Here’s how we can do it: 1. Start with Gratitude 2. Reference the Previous Interaction 3. Add Value 4. Be Clear and Respectful 5. Show Long-Term Interest 6. Be Authentic By focusing on the other person’s interests and needs, we follow-up will feel collaborative rather than self-serving.

✅ When you meet someone you WANT to stay connected to: ✅ Take a selfie with them ✅ Send THEM the pic (hand your phone to them and have THEM put in their number ✅ Verify the pic went ✅ Send a follow up text and/or video BEFORE you leave the parking lot ✅ In the follow up text make sure to spell your FULL name and sat where you met and anything else that will ensure when they see your NEXT text they will remember the moment. ✅ When home find them on all socials ✅ Send text in a day or so with next steps! (Now when they see your message they will know who it is without you being programmed in their phone!

Not to oversimplify... Help them. Connect them. Support them. Think of who in your connections, should they know - and then introduce them. If they mention they need help with a challenge in their business - bring forward expertise of others to assist their journey. You love their product or service - buy it, or open up a conversation with them for a prospective client. If you don't want to be self-serving, DON'T be self-serving. And if you are... don't bother... 👎

Menschen erinnern sich an diejenigen, die ihnen ohne Eigeninteresse geholfen haben. 4: nach einem erfolgreichen Gespräch ist es wichtig, den Kontakt aufrecht zu erhalten. Schicke eine kurze Nachricht um dich zu bedanken und mögliche nächste Schritte. Das schafft Vertrauen und bleibt im Gedächtnis.

Be sincere. Ask them if they would like you to keep touch. And how they want you to communicate with them. What medium…doesn’t hurt to call them if they are ok with that. People react to not only the info you share but via your voice. And in person?…even better.

We can't build meaningful connections until we put ourselves in their shoes. Understand their pain, gauge the challenges they are facing. Not only that, be friendly, generous and attached to them. It's not necessary that you should always talk about the business, give them personal touch. Talk to them on topics of their interests other than our business/ products/ services. Wish them on good and happy occasions, wipe away their tears when they are passing through something bad or a hard time. In short, you should be their friend if you want to build a meaning connections with them. Once you are in friendship with them, the follow ups become result oriented.

Always start with gratitude; refer to past conversations; offer value; be curious and genuine; respect the concerned person's time; focus on nurturing the relationship at first; don't make immediate requests; consistency is also a vital key in this area.
