You need an auto repair shop, but how do you find one that’s reliable and affordable?

In my country, one source of information available is Facebook. The complaints will be spreading quite fast and wide. We could only remove those with the complaint. But one thing that is true, it’s very difficult to find any compliment from any customer.

I am a Google Local Guide level 7 and I love reading reviews as much as I enjoy leaving them. Especially if they share a paragraph and pictures. Just a five star review is nice, but without details it leaves me wanting more.

It is very difficult to select a reliable auto repair shop without recommendations. As a mechanic myself , I used to provide excellent service to my clients, however as the business grow , people start employing other technicians to help with the volume and that's where quality start to deteriorate. My advise is, try to look for quality more than affordability. Ask people, check reviews, ask about the qualifications of people who work there and my favorate one is, if you go to the repair shop and you find a lot of vehicles parked there as if it is a chop shop, it means cars comes there for repairs and they never leave.

Aqui no Brasil, temos oficinas Bosch, Euro Repar, Magnetti Marelli etc. São oficinas independentes que conseguiram homologações dessas marcas, porém muitas se adequam às normas para obter o certificado e posteriormente trabalham sem qualidade e com a facilidade da confiança que essas homologações trazem. Então, se a oficina não for conhecida, não tiver uma indicação de alguém que entenda do assunto, opte por outras, pois muitas vezes pagará mais caro por conta da homologação e não terá um bom serviço.

Normally the one who had got any certificate from any manufacturer, will work at the authorized workshop of that brand. Just rely on the authorized workshop is a good idea. This poor customer changed the parts almost the whole engine parts because the technician could not identify the root cause of the problem. Fortunately the vehicle was under warranty, the customer need not pay anything, but wasting her time. When I did training to any technician, I would ask them to identify the root cause before changing any parts.
