WHAT CYBER FOR GOOD IS
Cyber for Good is an ITU project that aims to bridge the cybersecurity capacity gap in the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) through facilitated support and access to ITU Members’ experience, expertise, services, tools, and products.
CYBERSECURITY CAPACITY GAP
Least Developed Countries (LDCs) have the least capacity in terms of resources, skills, and tools to proactively manage cybersecurity risks. Global cybersecurity trends show that this gap has been increasing over time.
Cybersecurity monitoring data shows that while the average developed country's national cybersecurity performance has steadily improved since 2017, the average LDC cybersecurity performance has declined.
According to the
ITU Global Cybersecurity Index, the improvement rate is significantly slower in Least Developed Countries, leaving them with an outpaced national cybersecurity posture.

The ITU Cyber for Good project supports pillar 3 (Cybersecurity) of Focus Area 1 (Access: Connecting people everywhere) of the P2C action framework. Through the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition, Cyber for Good will enable LDCs to benefit from ITU Members’ expertise, services, and tools.
