About this series
If Santiago is NOT the spy, then why is he headed to jail? Can Megan find out the truth before it's too late?
Summer is coming to an end at the picturesque seaside town of Seacrest, and with it comes a food truck festival like they've never seen before. Even Margaret gets in on the fad, setting up her own tea truck. But business is hardly booming, and it's left her in poor spirits.
But for the moment, Megan has bigger problems. Santiago calls from jail, requesting that she come visit. However, when she does, their conversation makes no sense at all. Why would he use up their precious few minutes speaking gibberish? As Megan begins piecing it all together, she realizes he's just given her a BIG clue.
With a clue comes a case, and with a case comes a plan... and a disguise... and a chase. But if Megan thought their villain had small-town intentions, she's in big-time trouble! In way over her head, she never imagined to what lengths a well-trained criminal would go. Before she realizes it, Fred is the target. And now, all bets are off... because Megan would do anything to get him back.
Join Megan Henny and Fred as Megan inevitably gets them into trouble, and Fred stumbles over the solution. One fun, thrilling, chilling read with the salty wind in your face and a dark forest as your backdrop. Snuggle up... if you dare.

A new life. A clumsy stray. But when Megan decided to open a shop on the boardwalk of Seacrest... she never planned on murder. Megan's first day running her new scooter rental shop comes with one massive hiccup. A would be purse-snatcher dashes out the front door and Megan takes off after him. As the moment unravels, she finds it was all a harmless prank. But not everything is as harmless as it seems. When a body is found at the construction site of a high-end development, news shakes through the small town and speculation runs wild. There's the charming English woman who runs a bookstore a few doors down, the young college student Santiago who's a shameless flirt, the billionaire himself, along with the fireman, the construction crew, and the rest of the gang. Somewhere out there is a murderer, and as she stumbles across the clues, they set their sites on Megan. A charming tale of mix-ups and mysteries. Explore the wonders of the pacific coastline with Megan and be inspired. Who knows? Maybe you'll find the courage to chase your dreams as well.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The twist of the yacht was surprising and a creative idea.
I was dismayed of the treatment to the dog. I cringed every time he was praised for unacceptable behavior. It is irresponsible of a dog owner to not train a dog, much less a large dog.
The story line went way off at the end of the book. An international spy. Really?? - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love her snooping and her dog. It was interesting all through the book with some comical moments.
