Filet Crochet to Wear - Lauren Willis

    The Projects

    OCEAN DRIVE CARDIGAN

The bobbles, shells and waves of filet in this cardigan remind me of standing on a pebbly beach with my toes in the water! It’s the perfect summer cover up for strolls along the promenade. Get yourself an ice cream and meet me at the penny pushers!

    Gauge (tension)

    16 sts x 9 rows = 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) using 4mm (US size G/6) hook.

    Yarn & hook

Paintbox Yarns Simply DK (100% acrylic), DK (light worsted) weight yarn, 276m (302yd) per 100g (3½oz) ball in the following shade:

    • Cerulean Blue (74): 4½ (4½, 4¾, 5½) (5¾, 6¼, 6¾) (8, 8½, 9) balls

4mm (US size G/6) crochet hook

    Pattern notes & chart

The length of this cardigan is completely customisable – just work fewer or extra repeats, ending on a double crochet row. Note that if you make it longer, you may need more yarn.

Chart shows pattern repeat for guidance on stitch placement within the filet section only, place repeats within rows or rounds following written instructions for your chosen size. Read RS (even-number) rows from right to left and WS (odd-number) rows from left to right.

    Special abbreviation
