      For us to know absolutely nothing about Doc, not even the fact that she was a woman, this book was lacking major background and character development elements. This felt rushed. It didn't feel like we got to know enough about her and Shade. Just boom a bomb and then it skipped too happily ever after. I had to rewind the book just yo make sure I didn't missed something. This could have been so much better of it wasn't rushed. Hollice's story too while we're at it.
