Another day of drama

Martin: 'We need to improve'
It's football and it's about how we respond. We started the game badly with two mistakes leading to their goal. We've dominated the ball, limited them to eight shots at home and lost 2-0. I would expect us to get something and we didn't.
I think it's [Ryan Manning's disallowed goal] open to interpretation. Semedo doesn't try to play the ball. he puts his leg across him and then there's contact. We were expecting a penalty.
It is what it is. It's disappointing when you're on the end of two tough calls. We should have done better. We have a lack of punch. We have to create. We need to work really hard to try and improve.

'An excellent advert for Premier League'
Well Brentford have held on to their unbeaten start at home - but how close it was to crumbling at the last. Amid a flurry of late pressure from Bournemouth Enes Unal somehow left the bar rattling with a header.
Thomas Frank's life must’ve flashed before his eyes after Monday’s oh-so-late heartbreak but after eight insufferable additional minutes, the whistle finally went.
The Bees maintained their unbeaten start in a fantastic game in west London after Bournemouth twice took the lead in a brilliant game, and an excellent advert for both the drama and the quality that make the Premier League so great.

'Fulham never left second gear'
They say there are no easy games in the Premier League but this was pretty comfortable for Fulham who never really had to get out of second gear.
You have to feel for Palace given their current situation with injuries but full credit to Marco Silva’s side for taking full advantage.

'Some fans were late to seats'
There were a few fans slightly late coming back out at the Gtech Community Stadium not quite sure what's happened.
They left their seats at 1-1, and they've come back out at 2-2 after a five-minute flurry to get the second half rolling. And just seven minutes later, it's 3-2 to Brentford. I hate to say I told you so, but we did say this one was going to be a thriller...
15:59
'Really entertaining game'
Really entertaining game here at Brentford. Bournemouth came flying out the blocks and penned the hosts in early on, and after wave after wave of pressure were fully deserving of their goal - which means Brentford still haven’t kept a clean sheet in the league.
That goal finally seemed to wake Brentford up, and it didn’t take long for Yoane Wissa to level things up, with a VAR check unable to dampen the hosts’ joy.
There have been some groans from the crowd whenever the hosts pass it backwards, but an end-to-end close to the half has hopefully teed us up perfectly for a fantastic second half here.

15:57
'Wolves players have been arguing'
Wolves leading at half-time but you wouldn’t know it. Cunha was first down the tunnel, looking extremely grumpy. Players had been throwing arms and arguing with each other in the closing minutes of the half. I’d be surprised if we see the same XI at the restart.
Sarabia and/or Ait-Nouri off. Saints have had lots of the ball (tick) but threatened very little (tick). They will feel aggrieved at the VAR call though.
15:51
15:45
'Wolves in danger of being booed off'
As a colleague just said, Wolves are in danger of being booed off at 1-0 up here. There’s little structure when they don’t have the ball and when they have it, they panic. The crowd are tetchy and Ait-Nouri and O’Neil had a little row just now, with the Algerian apparently unclear on his role. He’s now part of a back five.
15:39
'Shaping into a classic'
Yoane Wissa has now been involved in eight goals in his last five Premier League games at the Gtech Community Stadium for Brentford.
This was his sixth goal in that period to add to two assists, and it really does seem to have lit a fire beneath the hosts.
Bournemouth still look dangerous in possession, but Brentford are looking far more comfortable on the ball already. Shaping up for a real end-to-end classic this one.
15:36
'Wolves getting stretched'
Wolves have switched to a back four today, with Saints playing only Cameron Archer up front. The problem is that they look stretched every time the visitors get the ball wide.
Meanwhile, Jose Sa is down holding his knee and at the same time O’Neil has gathered his players on the touchline for a team-talk.
There is, however, no sub goalie warming up for Wolves. The timing is certainly convenient as Wolves are looking very ragged without the ball.

15:25
'It's been coming'
Brentford have been the side more often than not to come flying out the blocks this season, but it’s been all Bournemouth so far here at the Gtech.
Now Evanilson has punished a shocker of a backpass from Sepp Van den Berg for his third in as many games, and you’ve got to say it’s been coming.
15:19
15:07
'Cunha Outstanding'
In Matheus Cunha, Wolves have the best attacker among the struggling group in the Premier League and he’s shown why again here. Awful mistake from Walker-Peters but the touch and vision from Cunha was outstanding.
Sarabia celebrated by putting a hand to his ear. Looked like a response to the stick he took from the home crowd last week.

14:49
'Wolves crowd will be key'
The mood in the crowd today will be absolutely key. They turned on Wolves last weekend after Crystal Palace took the lead and even though the match ended 2-2, it was not enough to win them over.
Unfortunately for O’Neil, you sense many Wolves fans have made up their minds on him, regardless of the outcome today.
14:38
Look who's back...
One of Wolves’ best-loved former players is at Molineux today. Ruben Neves, the former skipper and a key part of their rise under Nuno Espirito Santo, is expected to greet the supporters at half-time.
He is currently playing for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. How Wolves could do with someone like him on the pitch right now.
14:36
Home is where the heart is
While Brentford have struggled on the road - five defeats from five so far this term - it has been a completely different story at the Gtech Community Stadium.
All four of their wins this term have come at home, while the Bees were held by West Ham in a 1-1 draw, their only dropped points so far.
Bournemouth are only two points above the Bees in the league, and have only won one of their away days this term, but have taken eight hugely impressive points off Arsenal, Man City, Newcastle, and Aston Villa so this game promises to be fiercely contested indeed.
14:29
'Harwood-Bellis will have work cut out'
Will be interested to see how Harwood-Bellis performs today. Given Southampton’s defensive record, he was quite a surprising pick for the England squad and he’ll have his work cut out today.
Matheus Cunha is one of the best players in the bottom half of the table and Jorgen Strand Larsen has four goals in 10.
14:21
'Jensen returns'
Just the one change for the hosts, with Mads Roerslev out for Mathias Jensen following Monday's gut-wrenching defeat in stoppage time to west London rivals Fulham on the road, consigning Brentford to a fifth away defeat of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Andoni Iraloa brings Tyler Adams and Kepa Arrizabalaga in in place of Marcus Tavernier and Mark Travers respectively.
14:13
'O'Neil needs win to save job'
In a game where he probably needs a win to save his job, Gary O’Neil has put his trust in the men who delivered for the first half of last season.
Of the players signed in the summer, only Jorgen Strand Larsen is in the starting XI. What that says about O’Neil’s opinion of the summer recruitment, I’ll leave you to decide.
14:02
Goals galore at Brentford?
It’s a hushed press room pre-match here at Brentford - though perhaps some residual tension after Harry Wilson’s late late heroics last time out to deny the Bees three enormous points against Fulham is to blame for that.
Though they've dropped 14 points all season from winning positions, the hosts have been quite literally unbeatable at home so there will still be a lot of confidence heading into this one - especially against a Bournemouth side that haven’t beaten them in the league on the road since 2005…
Just the one clean sheet between these two all season so far, so expect plenty of action from here in west London!
14:00
'Everton receive Branthwaite boost'
No surprises on West Ham team news, Tomas Soucek and Michail Antonio come back in. Konstantinos Mavropanos drops to the bench while Edson Alvarez is out through suspension.
Jarrad Branthwaite and Abdoulaye Doucoure are back in for Everton. Dwight McNeil, who was an injury doubt coming into this, misses out.
13:55
13:54
Crystal Palace Team News - Devenny handed shock start
There is indeed a surprise in the Palace lineup with Oliver Glasner handing a senior debut to 21-year-old midfielder Justin Devenny. Two years ago the midfielder was playing in the third division of Scottish football for Airdrieonians but he gets the nod today against Fulham.
13:40
Can Palace overcome their injury crisis?
Good afternoon from a very chilly Selhurst Park. I’ve tried to hold on for as long as possible, but my resistance has been broken - the winter coat is finally out. Team news for this London Derby to follow shortly and there could be a few surprises from a Palace perspective given their injury crisis.
