West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui insists he does not feel any extra pressure despite suggestions his job is on the line ahead of Saturday’s game with Everton.

The Hammers have endured a difficult start to life under the Spaniard and have won just two of their last eight league matches.

It is understood owner David Sullivan may look to review Lopetegui’s position as head coach if West Ham are beaten by the Toffees at the London Stadium on Saturday.

But the Lopetegui insisted it has been business as usual, with no suggestion the owner has put any pressure on him.

‘I talk with him every week, as normal,’ Lopetegui said of his relationship with Sullivan.

‘We know, I am not going to say what we talk about with him. I talk every week with him about the different situation of the team, but it has not been any different to any other week. We talk all weeks.

‘I have lived with extra pressure from my first day as a coach. I know my job, what we are doing here and what we can do.

‘I try to put the focus on the daily work and the next match, this is the main thing I do as a coach and the players too.

‘But I understand the question - always we work under pressure and we have to accept that it is normal in our job.

‘I am sure that we have a lot of time to change and to turn this bad moment into a good moment.’
