We know that this time of year can be overwhelming for many people, whether you are celebrating Christmas or Hannukah or just taking a well earned break after a busy year, we know relaxing can be easier said than done. Thanks to the help of our HSC Wellbeing Champion Emma Simms, we have put together some tips on maintaining good mental health and positive wellbeing throughout the winter period. We will be sharing more tips in January for the January blues if you have any advice for either period, leave them in the comments below! ❄️ Take time for yourself - Ensure that you get some me time! Maybe go for a walk, take a bath, read a book or do something small for you. ❄️ Set your boundaries - Take time to step out when you need. This time can be overwhelming and overstimulating so its good to take a break before it becomes too much. ❄️ You don’t have to do everything - Where possible, try to include as much of your normal routine as possible. Things such as alternative sleeping patterns can have an effect on your mental health. ❄️ Try out something new - Maybe a new hobby, craft or tradition, either alone or with your loved ones ❄️ Look after your health and body - It's easy to jump into the festive spirit with eating and drinking but its important to look after yourself. Maybe take a festive walk to ensure you stay moving and exercising. ❄️ Remember, if you are struggling, don’t suffer in silence. If you can't speak with Friends or Family, reach out to a support service such as Samaritans (116 123) or Mind (0300 123 3393) who are on hand throughout the festive period - There is always someone here for you. #FestivePeriod #Wellbeing #Tips #Support #MentalHealth #HealthyMind

We love seeing our colleagues using their #GivingBackDay. Thank you Daliana Marcuti for spending your time spreading some festive joy with the care home residents. It sounds like it was a magical time! #GivingBack #Care
Using the "Giving Back Day" that The Access Group has generously provided, we chose to spend this special day at a care home, where 82 hearts are lovingly cared for. ❤️ The experience was deeply moving—tears were shed on both sides as we were warmly welcomed. In this festive season, there’s no greater joy than being present for those who miss their families and for someone to talk to. We shared stories, laughter, and companionship, and left with full hearts, having promised to return soon. There’s magic in giving back, and this day reminded us of the power of kindness and connection. 💫 Adelina Finta Ana - Maria Tudor Camelia Macuc thank you, it was great to share this opportunity with you! And a special thank you to our little star, Francesca Finta, for her beautiful artistic moment and for bringing everyone together to sing Christmas carols. 🎶 #GivingBack
