    Children

    Participated in a 12 Race challenge to raise money in support of Barnardo's. Upon completion in Dec 2013 I had generated £1,200 of donations, complete 2 marathons, 7 half marathons and 3 triathlons!

  • Volunteer (Marshal, Time Keeper)

    Health

    Regularly volunteer at my local park run as a Marshal or timekeeper.

    Every week at 9am on a Saturday 1000's of people line up to take part in a volunteer lead 5km run. I run and therefore I volunteer and I love doing both.

    Organised an event for Children in Need that saw a group of colleagues dressed in costume cycle and run a combined 1000 miles in one day for Children in Need 2014.

    Raised a whopping £2300.

    Founder, director, organiser of what I hope will be an annual trail race that raises money for local kids charities. In its second year we again had over 200 people taking part and we donated close to £1400 to charity taking our total to £2400. Next year I’m hoping we can make even more!

    The TV Application Layer (TAL) is an open source library for building applications for Connected TV devices.

    TAL was developed internally within the BBC as a way of vastly simplifying TV application development whilst increasing the reach of BBC TV applications such as iPlayer. Today all of the BBC’s HTML-based TV applications are built using TAL.
