Interesting article from E3 Magazine. My thinking is slightly different. It’s time to stop artificially propping up an unpopular database. Stick to the core business process competency which made SAP the leader in the industry. Mercedes does not make its own tyres, Airbus does not make its own engines, Apple does not make its own iPhone touchscreen. Unshackle the potential of S/4 sans HANA, and make it easier for customers to integrate S/4 onto their IT landscapes which are standardized on AnyDB.

What an energizing start to the week! 🚀 Monday kicked off the first-ever #PeopleDevelopmentWeek at SAP – a week dedicated for our employees to explore career development opportunities, enhance their product knowledge and gain a better understanding of the overall business. I had the opportunity to engage with employees across SAP to gain a deeper understanding of SAP’s strategy and its execution. We delved into the importance of understanding our strategy and how we are adapting it to overcome operational challenges. One key takeaway from the session: What makes a good strategy? In addition to the “why”, “what” and “how” of a corporate strategy, we also talked about the “who”: #people are at the heart of SAP and key to our success. With so many dedicated colleagues driving this transformation, we are determined to achieve our goal of becoming the #1 Enterprise Application and Business AI company! A huge thank you to Gina Vargiu-Breuer and her team for organizing our first People Development Week and to all SAP colleagues for your dedication. Let's keep pushing boundaries! Definitely the way to go, to really map out your business processes for SAP customers and have a centralized business process master list (BPML). Many SAP customers that I have worked with still have knowledge silos and business documents that are hidden. I haven't used Signavio but to me, the holy grail is, if there is a t-code that you use at the company and no business process linked to it (this has to be visible within the SAP GUI) then there should be a risk score highlighted. The SAP COE manager should then be able to run analytics on all the utilized t-codes that doesn't have the related process documents to ensure process risk is minimized. https://lnkd.in/gKPBbH-Y
