Do we need to just get better at managing teams remotely?! Granted this isn't the world's biggest poll, but it rings true with all of the information CX and Contact Centre Leaders tell me on a daily basis.... From feedback remote managing requires a lot input from Managers just to ensure it works. So making time to replicate those "water cooler" style chats we hear so much about, to meaningful 121s which often means a smaller team to manage. I am also hearing from more people who are ready to move into an organisation that have more time in the office, to foster that greater sense of collaboration. Personally, I have always preferred the office. I am an extrovert and love being around people, but I manage to work remotely almost 100% of the time because I need to... I have set my day up in a way that doesn't allow me to lose focus (OK, not 100% of the time, but I was always distracted talking to people in the kitchen in the office🤣 ) Are we just not as confident managing/ leading teams remotely? Is flexibility of choice, depending on the circumstance/ style of the individual just a utopia we aren't ready for?!
